Tomioka went to school and waited at the school entrance. he was expecting Shinobu to give him a little gift. He waited until she arrived. She waved at him and went inside the entrance. He thought she forgot or didn't know. He sighed and followed her to the classroom. He waited and waited until classes were over and she still hasn't given him something or wished him a happy birthday.

He went outside the classroom and sighed. "Did someone die, Tomioka-san? You look gloomy today." She teased him. he looked around the hallway hoping that someone would wish him a happy birthday but not a single person was in sight. he went outside the gate and sighed, again.

"Since you're so depressed today, let's go eat somewhere!" She says while she grabs his wrist and leads him to a restaurant. he didn't wanna get his hopes up so he didn't care. when they went inside, Shinobu dragged him to a table.

He was surprised when he saw Mitsuri, Iguro, Muichiro, Sanemi, Himejima, Rengoku, Uzui and Tanjirou and Nezuko there. "Happy birthday, Tomioka!" They all said. Tomioka's face looked like he wasn't happy but deep inside he was very delighted. also, he was excited to eat because they were at a restaurant that serves salmon daikon. Tomioka's favorite dish. They all happily ate and went home after that.

He almost gave up trying to find a gift for her but he finally found the most perfect thing. when he saw it he immediately bought it and went home. he was relieved he got her something and he slept peacefully.

The next day...

He went inside the classroom and waited for the perfect moment to give it to her. Shinobu arrived at the classroom and Tomioka dragged her to the hallway without saying anything. "What? Are you doing?" She says. "Happy birthday." He said while giving her the paper bag. It was the sequel of her favorite book. her eyes widened. "Isn't this expensive?!" She says. "So what? It's for you." He says while his ears heats up. "Fine, Thank you." She gave him a joyful smile. he loves seeing her smile because of him. They both went back to class.
