Kanae was sick and couldn't get up. Shinobu went out of her room and saw her lying on the couch. "Nee-san, Are you ok? You don't look very well." She said while yawning. She placed her hand on Kanae's forehead. "You're burning up! I'll get you some medicine." She says while walking out the door.
She went to the convenience store and bought medicine and chocolates for her to eat. She went outside the door and heard a cat meowing. she went closer to where she heard the sound. Even though she was scared of furry animals. she saw someone with a cap feeding the cat. she leaned to peek who the person was and it was... Tomioka.
She tripped over and landed with her face in his chest. "U-Uh. Kochou? What are you doing here?" He said while trying to avoid the awkwardness. She didn't answer her and just stayed still. Then she finally snapped out. "O-Oh. Sorry." She says as she gets off of him.
He sat down on the grass while looking at the cat. "Butterfly." He uttered. "What?" She said. "I'll call this cat Butterfly" He replied. "Dumbass. Why would you call a cat, A butterfly?" She giggled. "That's-" He got cut off when someone called Shinobu.
"Shinobu! I'm really burning up so bad! Please hurry up!" Kanae says while coughing. "Oh ok! i'll be right back!" She says while she hung up. "I gotta go! See ya." She says while walking away. He stopped her by grabbing her hand. "It's getting cold. Wear this." He says while throwing her, his jacket. "O-Oh. Thanks." She says as she runs away.
Kanae was peeking outside the window while recording them. "Hehe. Love birds!" A few minutes later Shinobu arrived. She gave her the medicine and went to bed.

Next morning...
Tomioka and Shinobu was going to the cafeteria when he bumped into someone. "Watch where you're going!" Tomioka says. He looked at the person that bumped into him. "Sabito? what the fuck are you doing here?" He says in an angry voice. "Looks like the murderer is here." He says while grinning. Tomioka grabbed his collar. "Didn't i tell you to stay away from me." He says while his grip tightens.
"Tomioka! Stop!" Shinobu grabbed his hand and made him stop. "Oh? I see you got yourself a girlfriend. What a miracle." He says while he walking away. Tomioka was going to chase him when Shinobu hugged him from behind. "Stop." He instantly froze and listened to her.
She dragged him to the laboratory and asked him. "What's wrong? Who was that guy?" She said. "You see.."

10 years ago...
The room was filled with smoke. She couldn't see anything. "Giyu! Help! There's a fire! I can't... get out..." Those were Makomo's last words. Tomioka couldn't open the door because it was locked. He kicked and punched the door until his fists were bleeding but he couldn't open it. He was too weak. He couldn't do anything. He ran to the police station and called for help. When they arrived, The firemen broke down the door and carried the unconscious girl.
"She isn't breathing! She's been in there for too long! There's nothing we can do!" Tomioka's eyes widened and the thought of him not being able to help her made him cry. If only he arrived on time. If only he was strong enough. Sabito was at the arcade that time. He got a call. He went to the scene, only to see her sister passed away.
"I couldn't do anything. I'm weak. I don't deserve to live." Tomioka said while crying. Sabito was filled with anger. He pushed Tomioka to the ground and began punching his face. "You murderer! If you arrived on time... SHE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE!" The fireman stopped Sabito and talked to him.
"No matter how many people you may lose, you have no choice but to go on living." was the last thing the fireman said before he left.
