Happy Tsukkikage day everyone! Hope you get your fill of them.
"Thanks for the invitation" Kei had said as he approached the house, the nameplate was engraved with the name Kageyama. Now of course this wasn't the first time that Kei had come to the kageyama household, however, it was the first time he would meet his boyfriend's parents. The two had only recently, came out to their parents, and gratefully their parents were more than happy to accept it. Thus why, Tobio's mother had insisted she meet the boy who was able to distract her son from his oh so passionate love for volleyball. Though how he did it was still a mystery for the two.
As Kei walked into the house alongside with Tobio- he was greeted with a warm and affectionate smile from Tobio's mother. Miwa was also shouting her greetings from the kitchen, for her it wasn't the first time she would meet Kei. After all the countless rambles, Kageyama went on about him there was no way, she would wait to see the famous cold middle blocker.
Kageyama's mother has always been a very gentle and caring person, especially when kageyama had to go through the death of his grandfather. She always went out of her way to make him feel better. That was why he was so afraid to tell his mother about his sexuality, but the two promised they would do it, and he wanted to believe that his mother would accept him just the same. It was safe to say that the two had cried when it happened, but it was only because of how proud she was; that he had enough courage to tell her.
As Tobio's mother kept a conversation going with Kei, she could very well tell, that he was nervous. Though all her son went on about was, how stupid and rude his boyfriend could be, she knew that he was still deeply in love with the other. Likewise for Kei she could very well tell that he felt the same, the short glimpse of sparkle she caught in his eye as he went on about Tobio. It was all too sweet for her, there were tears welling up in her eyes at the time, she was just so proud, that there was somebody who could fully accept, and care about her son like this. "Now why don't we have some lunch, Miwa spent a lot of time on this after all."
They all had a pleasant time, whilst having a lovely meal prepared by Tobio's sister, but there was something that caught Kei's attention as they were talking. Tobio's mother had stumbled upon the topic, of how cute Tobio was as a child. Now especially for Kei he didn't have any interest in kids and how "cute" they could be; but seeing as it is pictures of Tobio- it would be a different case. He was more than glad that it was brought up. So while Tobio went away to grab something, he asked if he could be due the pleasure of seeing some pictures of Kageyama as a child. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that, Kageyama was horrified at the sight he came upon, as he saw his mother grab an album from one of the shelves. As expected when he laid his eyes upon a certain blonde he was greeted with a sinister smirk plastered on his boyfriend's face. He had countlessly told Tsukishima that he was never going to let him see his baby pictures but it's not as if he would listen.
Now all he could do was pout, as he sat on the couch glancing across, to see Tsukishima smiling at the pictures shown to him. The only thing making up for this was how cute he thought Tsukishima looked at this moment, but nevertheless he was still annoyed by it. Unknowingly Kei had took some photos of baby tobio and sneakily set it as his wallpaper. Now that was something Tobio had to discover later. The trip was short but it was sweet, a huge plus was the dinosaur gummies Tobio's mom had handed to Kei as a gift.
As the two walked out of the house Tsukishima couldn't help but say "seems like the King, has been talking about me a fair bit huh" even your mother knows about my love for dinosaurs...
He was content... Tsukishima was and so was Kageyama- to be accepted by his mother so wholeheartedly. Kei was definitely glad that he had been invited to come over. Not forgetting the adorable pictures he could see because of it.
