The two boys ran through the corridors, laughing and joking, going to meet up with their friends back in the Great Hall. Their undeniable good mood being powered by the kiss the two shared just moments before.

They made their way to the large doors and quickly shuffled in, scooting through a stream of other students, quickly making their way to sit on the end of the eighth year table.

They greeted the others as they took their seats next to one another, leaving just enough room between themselves for it to still be considered, just friendly.

They gave their greetings yet Harry couldn't help see the gleam in Hermione's eye. She knew what was said between the two boys, she somehow knows everything. With a soft smile though, she looked away, as McGonagall stood up to begin the evening feast.

The meal was going quickly. Too quickly for Harry's liking, although this may be because he wanted to spend more time holding Draco's hand under the table and softly stroking patterns onto the back of it.

They didn't converse much, or even particularly look at one another during the meal, but the soft touches hidden beneath the table said more than words.

With thirty minutes left before the students were dismissed for the evening, and Neville boring everyone with the recent studies into herbology, Draco stood from his chair and whispered to Harry, "I'm just gonna run to the toilet, be back in a sec."

"Want me to come with you? Maybe lend a hand?" Harry whispered back, with a smirk on his face and a gleam in his eye. The only response Draco gave was a chuckle and a smack on the arm before he set off through the doors of the Great Hall to the bathrooms.

Five minutes went by and Harry didn't think much of it, Draco was probably just fixing his hair for the millionth time in the day.

After fifteen minutes, Harry grew slightly worried. That second slice of treacle tart must've really done a number on him, Harry thought.

When the students were being dismissed and Draco still wasn't back, Harry had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"Have the treacle tarts done a number on me too?" Harry mumbled to himself. No, the bad feeling was worry for the missing grey eyed boy.

Students were beginning to stand and make their way from the hall as Pansy called over to Harry, "Hey Potter, where'd Draco run off to before?"

"He said the bathroom, I should go check on him." He left before a response could be given.

Pushing past the stream of people, Harry checked the closest bathroom to the Great Hall. No sign of Draco.

He quickly rushed up a level, but again Draco wasn't in there.

It wasn't until Harry had gone to near the other side of the castle that he glimpsed Draco. Unfortunately, it was closer to a nightmare than any form of relief.

Draco was crumpled on the bathroom floor, a bloodied mess. Bruises forming on his body and sobbing into the cold tile floor. Clearly too injured and exhausted to move, he just lay.

Harry heard the sobs first, then the awful sight. He quickly ran to Draco's side, checking to see his injuries, that's when he saw something that broke his heart.

In big letters across Draco's forehead, the words, 'DEATH EATER' were written in bold, black pen.

Draco crawled up Harry's lap, sobbing into his gowns.

"Are you okay love?" Harry asked gently, scooping Draco into his arms and giving him a gentle hug.

"They cornered me... they hexed and jinxed and beat me." Draco continued to sob. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry love, this was never your fault. We should get you to Madam Pomfrey though, so she can get these injuries checked out."

Draco shook his head in disagreement, more tears slipping out.

"No, please, the injuries are fine, the hexes were worse. I just want to stay with you. Please?" Draco was nearly begging, if Harry's heart could break anymore times then it must've in this moment.

"We'll go back to our room then if you'd like? But we should wash this away first." Harry tapper Draco's forehead gently.

Draco nodded his head and sat up slightly, wincing a little as Harry grabbed a few paper towels, wetting then in the sink, then making his way back to sit next to Draco.

He guided the paper towel over Draco's head, softly clearing away the ugly black letters, marring the beautiful, porcelain skin of the boy who he'd grow to adore.

He continued to wash as green met grey. The two boys staring at one another. Draco slowly closed the distance, pressing his lips against Harry's, both boys feeling the fireworks explode under their skin. How could such a magical moment transpire on the cold floor of a dirty bathroom?

After a while the two boys pulled away to regain their breath, the kiss was passionate and perfect and with one final kiss, Harry lifted Draco and they began to make their way back to the dorms.

They finally made their was back to the common room, having to face a few worried glances from their friends and set of questions from Hermione asking, "is Draco okay?" And, "should we take him to the hospital wing?"

Harry waved her questions away, saying they were just going to get some rest. Making their way into their bedroom.

Harry sat Draco on the bed, moving around the room to gather him some comfy clothes.

"I'm sorry I'm always a nuisance to you." Draco whispered, looking sadly to the ground.

"Oh love you're not a nuisance. I wish I could've been there when they attacked you." Harry puffed out, forehead vein protruding slightly and nose flailing.

Draco giggled softly, "you're cute when you're angry."

Harry smiled back at him, laying down on his bed and pulling Draco down with him.

"Wanna cuddle together?" Harry whispered into Draco's ear.

"Always." Draco replied softly.

"From now on, we do things together, me and you are a team." Harry said, Draco smiled back in response.

"Together." Draco whispered as he closed his eyes, slipping into a soft nap.

Harry looked down at the beautiful boy, cuddled into his chest, before he too closed his eyes, slipping into a soft sleep.
