Ron stomped over to Draco. The shout startling the grey eyed boy making him spring to his feet. Suddenly, a fist collided with his cheek and Draco fell to the floor in a dizzy haze. He could vaguely hear Ron shouting for him to stand up and fight but Draco was too confused to move. He didn't understand what was going on.

"You're scum, pathetic scum." Ron shouted over Draco's crumpled body. He was laid out in front of the fire, the crackle warming his face as a nasty red marked began to grow where the fist had collided. He tried to lift him self off the ground as he felt a hard blow strike his ribs, a rough kick from Ron. Draco groaned and whimpered as the pain flashed through his chest, he didn't understand the situation or why Ron was so angry.

He tried once more to push himself off the ground. He heard it before he felt it, Ron gathered phlegm and spat it on Draco's face.

"Don't come near Harry again, fucking wanker." Ron spat again before he turned and stalked off towards his dorm. Draco's head was spinning, confusion rattling around inside his brain and pain shooting through his body.

He once again began to lift himself front he ground. His ribs were on fire and he wiped the spit from his face. Why was Ron angry at him? Why did he tell him to stay away from Harry?

Draco felt liked crying, he felt the tears pricking his eyes as he clambered onto the chair nearest to him, to steady himself . He felt his cheek throb with pain from where Ron had hit him. Surely this must've been some horrible mistake.

Sat in front of the fire, with pain swilling inside his body and confusion warping his mind, all he wanted was Harry. He wanted Harry to hold him and tell him everything would be alright. He'd grown used to such sweet words being whispered to him that the loneliness he felt at the current time was almost unbearable. He scrambled from the chair and quickly made his was to his and Harry's dorm room.

He pushed through the door and slammed it shut as he stumbled and collapsed on the bed. The tears stated to flow first, and then the sobs started. He was shaking on the bed with pain and confusion swelling through his body. The one thought running through his mind was 'Harry'.

Draco cried that night. Cried longer and harder then he ever had, yet Harry never arrived. After hours of waiting and crying and pain, Draco fell into a deep, consuming sleep. The sleep was accompanied with nightmares. The kind that torture, the kind that could only be remedied by a green eyed boy.

Early in the morning, Draco woke with bloodshot eyes and bruising covering his body. Harry was still nowhere to be found, obviously not going back to the dorm that night. However, in the morning light Draco did notice how many of Harry's things were missing.

Then Draco remembered what Ron said, or more like what Ron screamed.

Why should he stay away from Harry? What had he done?

He slowly lifted himself from his bed, his ribs still on fire from the ferocious kick Ron gave last night. He hobbled his way through the little dorm, lazily dressing himself. He caught a glimpse of his appearance in the mirror and almost recoiled at the ghastly sight, a sickly black eye marred his perfect, porcelain cheek. Heavy, dark bags under his eyes and an overall exhausted complexion. Draco was sure he'd never felt this rough in a morning and he'd drank with Harry.

Harry.

Draco thought about Harry and how he wanted to talk to him, needed to talk to him. Determined to find Harry and get to the bottom of what was happening Draco puffed out his chest and marched out of the dorms.

However, upon reaching the corridors he noticed that maybe others knew of what had happened as he was met with glares and sneers from the other students.
