A few days after the Halloween ball, the lessons were back in full flow. The only topic of conversation that was being discussed was the party. Everyone talking about what an amazing time they all had and how they can't wait for the next one and whether anyone saw those two slutty guys dry humping on the dance floor.
It really left an impact on the school, how much fun everyone had. After the stress of the previous year, this was certainly a welcome distraction from the pain many people went through.
Harry and Draco were also the talk of the school. The fact they were now a couple was shared only to their close friends, so naturally the whole school knows about it and to Draco's surprise, most people were cool with it. There were still a few people bitter towards Draco but they mostly kept it to themselves.
So, after facing a bombardment of questions from other student, Harry and Draco decided to go down to the Quidditch pitch to get some peace. The Slytherin's were training today and while Harry wanted to mock their play style, he kept it to himself as he knew they adopted that particular play style from Draco's a few years previous.
"They're doing quite well." Harry commented, voice dripping with lies. Draco could smell the lies from a mile off. The two were currently sat cuddled in the bleachers watching the brooms fly overhead.
"They're shit and you know it." Draco laughed while giving Harry a raised eyebrow. Harry looked between his boyfriend and the Quidditch team above.
"They are quite dreadful." Harry laughed too, pulling Draco into his chest further. It was relaxing just watching the Quidditch training.
"How come you aren't flying this year?" Draco questioned, gazing at the swirling brooms above them.
"Just didn't feel like it I suppose." Harry gave a small shrug, he didn't know why he didn't feel like flying. It didn't feel the same as before, it was fun but nothing like how it used to be.
"Guess it's a good job anyways, you sucked." Draco laughed pulling away from Harry to look him in the eye. Giving him a cheeky grin while Harry just smiled and rolled his eyes.
"Do you want me to spank you?" Harry said slowly, smugly as he watched Draco's face convert from laughing to a playful glare.
"Maybe I do?" Draco said raising his head. "You know I love yours hands." Draco spoke while softly lifting Harry's hand to his face, slowly beginning to suck on his fingers.
"Well bad boys don't get what they want now do they?" Harry laughed pulling his fingers out of Draco's mouth and rubbing the spit off on to the grey eyed boys robes.
"Disgusting." Draco whined, trying to pull away from the spit fingers Harry was wiping on him. Harry grabbed his waist however, pulling him back to his chest and kissing his cheek.
"You let me spit in your mouth. How is this disgusting and not that?" Harry raised and eye, starting to laugh again.
"Cause it's different, different scenario. Here, your just gross!" Draco giggled, leaning back into Harry. They sat for a few moments in relative silence, they could almost hear the plays that were being called far above them.
Draco started to shiver, it was getting further to winter and the Scottish highlands are unbearable cold in mid-summer.
"You need to start bringing more clothes out with you." Harry rolled his eyes while peeling his scarf from around his neck to drape over Draco.
"Why would I? I know I can just take yours whenever I'm cold." Draco gave a big grin, was he seriously mocking Harry and his chivalrous nature.
"Oh I'm so gonna spank you when we get back to the dorm. It'll be worse than yesterday, I swear." Harry gave Draco a pointed look but the corners of his mouth were turned up. He couldn't not smile at Draco and his adorable face.
Draco smiled back. He loved their relationship. Loved how even despite all the bad things that happened in the past few years, something really terrific had come out of it all. Harry taking control was something he loved most of all however.
"We can't tonight, we promised Hermione and Ron that we'd study with them in the library." Draco said, if he reminded Harry once, he'd have to remind him another ten times.
"Oh shit yeah, we should probably get going then. Hermione's going to be frustratingly early anyway." Harry laughed while pulling Draco up of the seat. They made their way from the Quidditch ground began their walk back up to the castle.

"Sorry we're late! Draco took forever to do his hair!" Harry laughed as he and Draco rushed into the library. Their uniforms were a little wonky and their hair was suspiciously out of place. A clear lie but Hermione and Ron both let it slide.
They had gotten a table towards the back of the library and although they arrived five minutes before Harry and Draco, the table was already pulled high with dusty books. Hermione was already half way done with her homework. Ron was already bored.
"Thank god, I thought you'd never show up and I'd actually have to... study." Ron shivered as he spoke the words. Harry and Draco laughed while taking their seats and Hermione rolled her eyes.
"You three know the mocks are in mid-December, you want to be prepared for them." Hermione pointed out, looking between the three boys. Ron shrugged lazily.
"Eh mocks are nothing, as long as I ace the real exams in summer, I'm golden." Ron laughed, leaning back on his chair, he really hated studying.
"These mocks are serious, if you don't do well you'd have to attend extra sessions with McGonagall." Hermione spoke clearly, pushing her point that the mocks weren't pointless as Ron would suggest.
"I'm gonna study potions." Harry laughed, looking at the glare Hermione was shooting Ron.
"I'll help." Draco said moving closer to Harry so he could read the book over his shoulder. Eventually the four friends all quietened down and began their study session. However, between Harry and Draco spending most of their time just staring into each other's eyes and Ron daydreaming, only Hermione was doing any actual work.
Somethings never change.
