At the request of a reader, I bring you Prince Dusk's point of view.

Being around her was enough to drive me insane. The incessant need to touch her, hold her, hide her away overwhelmed me to the brink of insanity.

I watched as she spoke to the large beast in a language that was not something we'd heard before. It sounded like an ancient, intricate language that was not from our planet at all. And finally, the beast left. It was strange to see it simply disappear in mid-air with absolutely nothing that could be heard or seen as it was gone as soon as it took a step away from her.

We were finally able to move.

"What kind of beast was that?" Asked Marcellus as he moved towards her. "I couldn't move at all."

"Beast?" She asked and a small frown could be seen on her brow.

"Yes, beast. The big fox. I've never seen anything like it..."

"That was not a beast. His name is Gem. He's what's known as a Kitsune in the world I come from."

"Kits... Kit... A what?"

"A fox demon." she clarified. "Likely you only saw his beast form because you're inherently and entirely human."

"How were you able to move under that amount of pressure?"

"Pressure? I didn't feel it. Then again, I've known Gem and those on an equal footing to him in regard to power for many years. You could say I'm used to them."

"This Gem... He's a man?" I walked towards her, feeling my chest tighten as I tried to keep control of myself. She's mine, isn't she?

"Yes. He's male."

I felt my heart give a heavy beat, slowing as the tightening intensifies. Her eyes were on me, watching me as her eyes glowed for a moment before they returned to being the strange heterochromia black and gold colours.

"And you've spent time with this fox?" I asked. I could feel a painful stab in my chest. She's mine, right?

Her eyes glowed again before returning to normal. I'd seen this happen several times by now, but it was the first time that I could see her blink to get her eyes under control.
