Lunch

Ouch. I look down and see that I had cut my finger while chopping onions. The juice is getting inside of the cut and making it sting. Blood starts to emerge from the cut so I do the only logical thing. I stick the finger in my mouth so blood doesn't get everywhere while I grab band-aids

While grabbing the pack of band-aids I could see Lunch Rush facepalming. This happens a lot in our kitchen. The only reason he keeps me around is because I cook nearly as good as he does.

" I'm about to take away your knife privileges. I can't keep buying band-aids for you." I quickly apologize to him again and go back to chopping the onions for today's lunch.

My name is Y/n L/n and I am quirkless. I work with the hero Lunch Rush at UA. Lunch Rush found me working on the side of the street selling food. Once he tasted it he offered me this position and I have worked here ever since.

It's because of him I'm able to have a roof over my head so I always try my best. I will always be thankful for him. I would still be on the streets stealing ingredients just to make food to sell just so I can buy my own. Yes I stole, get over it.

" The kids are coming. You serve today and I'll finish the second batch."

" Ok sir." I hurry and get to the serving station. I greet everyone and a few say hello back. Most ignore me though because they don't think a quirkless girl should be working alongside heroes. I'm used to this reaction though. At first it hurt when they ignored me but the few who found it cool made it a whole lot better.

" Good afternoon y/n." It was class A's Izuku Midoriya. He always talks to me while getting his food.

" Good afternoon Midoriya. Are you excited for the trip tomorrow?" Hero 13 requested my help for tomorrow. She said that she wanted to use my as a victim for the kids to rescue.

" Of course I am. Gotta go. Can't hold the line up." He smiled and left. Next up was Bakugou Katsuki. He is one of the anti quirkless kids and refuses to talk. Guess I'm back on the annoyed train.

" You look exhausted today. Go on home y/n. I can handle the clean up." I shake my head no. I'm not letting him do this all by himself. I'll survive for another two hours.

Well that was longer than two hours but I survived. Little did I know that on my way home I would encounter something that would make me regret not leaving when told.
