The Guardian Villain ( Shigaraki x Reader)

Shigiraki's Thoughts

    A loud alarm is going off on my phone. I can't remember why I set it but it must be important. Maybe I have it labeled.

    I moved the guys arms to look at the alarm and see what I needed to do. Wait? Arms? Who is this guy that is in my bed? Hiroyuki? I think that was the guys name at least. So that means my side is still injured and the alarm is for that.

    " Turn that damn alarm off before I disintegrate your phone." Good morning sleepyhead.

   " Sorry Hiroyuki. I'll get it."

    " What did you just call me?" Oh yeah that's not his name.

    " Sorry. I forgot momentarily." I turn off the alarm and grab the bandages from beside my bed.

    " Stop apologizing. It gets annoying. Let's hurry and get these bandages changed so I can go back to sleep." Why are you sleeping in my bed in the first place?

   " Yeah yeah. Grab the ointment while I take off the old wrap." Why was we both asleep anyways? Wasn't the Sports Festival today? Or was that tommorow?

   " Hey l/n? You're almost out of this stuff. We need some more and I'm broke."

   " Aren't you a villain? Go steal some." He coughed and looked at me like I was crazy. " Hey is the sports Festival today or tomorrow?"

    " Tomorrow. Why are you telling me to break the law when you work with heroes?" He began to rub the ointment on my almost healed wound.

    " I don't know. I guess I just don't care. Also all of my money is going towards my medical bills so I can't afford to spend it on other things." I muttered the last part hoping he wouldn't hear it but he did and froze.

    " You know those are paid off right?" They are? Since when?

    " I only gave them like fifty and it was a lot more than that." A hell of a lot more.

    " I know but after explaining what happened to the guy who supplied that idiot he gave me enough to pay for the damages." This guy is something else. No bad guy would go to these lengths for some random person.

    " One last question? Well actually two but the other isn't too big of a deal." He finished the new wrap then pulled my shirt back down.

    " How big is the first?" He said it in a tone that said, be careful. Suddenly I don't think it's a good idea to ask.

    " Um... That depends on your reaction to it." I can't lose the oy person who I trust to do this.

    " Does it involve my work?" I shake my head. " My warp gate?" I shake my head again. " My pet chinchilla." I sha...

   " Chinchilla?" That's adorable.

   " I don't have one. I was testing to see if you were just saying no for the heck of it. What's the question?"

    " Well now I'm disappointed. I wanted pictures." He groaned. " Fine. I just wanted to know why you are going to such lengths if you're a villain? Bad guys don't do what you are doing. They would, as the asshole said, kill them without batting an eye. But you, you are putting a lot of time and money apparently into taking care of me even though I could easily turn you in."

    " You won't do that." He sounded bored.

    " How do you know?"

    " You called Kurogiri for me, cried when I showed up late and you just told me to go steal something. Correct me if I'm wrong but those are signs that you don't want me to go to jail or worse." He's right. I did all those things.  " Now let me ask you a question."

    " You didn't answer mine."

    " Yes I did. I told you how I knew you wouldn't turn me in."

    " You did answer a question but not the original."

    " And for good reason. The answer is I don't know. I don't know why I'm doing this. I could have easily left an anonymous tip at the police station or left you there to die. I don't know why I felt the need to save you or protect you. I just did. I don't know why I came back after I knew you were safe." He looks irritated and I move to get him to stop explaining but he gets up and continues to talk while pacing.

    " Something about you feels familiar and calming. When I was waiting for the ambulance I felt... I felt at peace. I was having an irritating day and being with you just shoved all of that to the back of my mind.

    Taking care of you gives me something to do that's not stressful. I forget who I am around you. the time I spend here makes me forget about everything but you and I... I forget why I became who I did." He sounds so sad. What could have hurt him so much that he needs me to help him forget? " I'm going to go get more ointment and clear my head."

    I let him go. I know the real reason he's leaving. He doesn't want me to see his tears. What was his question though?
