PAGKAPASOK ko ay dali-dali akong naglakad patungo sa hagdan pero napatigil ako nang may tumawag sa akin.

My body stiffened but I immediately calmed myself down. They can't...they can't catch us.

I immediately pulled out a smile on my face before turning my back and I saw Manang Soling looking at me curiously.

"Oh, hija, asan ka nagpunta?"

"I just took some fresh air, Manang." I lied while keeping a friendly smile at her.

She looked at me for a while, studying my face. May pagdududa sa kaniyang tingin but seconds later, she just nodded at me.

"Oh siya sige. Tumaas ka na at matulog. Gabi na."

"Goodnight, Manang. Matulog na rin ho kayo," I told her before climbing up the stairs.

Para akong nabunutan ng tinik sa leeg. Naramdaman ko rin ang pamamasa ng aking palad. I need to act civil or else I'm dead.

I let go of my breath when I already reached my room. I immediately lock the door before pressing my back against it. Sobrang lakas ang pagkabog ng aking dibdib na nasa puntong sumasakit na ito.

When I found myself already calm, I swallowed the thick lump on my throat. I went inside my walk in closet before pulling out a small travelling bag and setting my things there.

I can't help not to smile while packing my things. I just need to wait for some hours for me to finally reunite with Crinx. Tumatalon ang aking puso sa tuwa habang iniisip na magkakasama na kami sa wakas. I can't wait. I can't wait to get out of this hellish place and be with him again. Finally!

I'll make sure that Xydrien won't see me again after this. I will stay out of his sight for good. It will be good for the both of us. I will be happy and he will be happy too. Hindi ko na siya masasaktan pa. Kung mananatili ako dito, baka mas lalo ko lang siyang mabasag. I can't be happy with him. I just can't.

After packing my luggage I went straight to the bathroom. I need to spend my time and wait longer until midnight. I happily hummed as I took a bath. Natatawang napailing na lang ako. I can't stop being happy and energetic.

After taking a bath, I wrapped my body in a towel before stepping out of the bathroom and creating a beeline on my walk-in closet. I decided to wear a black hoodie and black leggings paired with black boots. I dried my hair before tying it in a messy bun. I close the lights before peeking outside my room.

Dahan-dahan akong naglakad papalapit sa bintana bago hinawi ang kurtina ko. Mabilis ang pagpintig ng aking puso habang nakadungaw sa labas.

I glance at the spot where I left Crinx. It's hard to see in the darkness but I tried my best to look out for him. I was nervous when I didn't see him there. Mas lalong bumilis ang pagtibok ng puso ko sa kaba.

Did he get caught? I hope not.

I shifted into a different angle searching for him and when a small sparkle of light hits my vision, I was relieved. Kumalma ang tibok ng puso ko at napabuntong hininga na lamang ako. Thanks God. I thought he was caught.

I close the curtain and I sat down on my bed. Hindi ko mapigilan ang mapangiti. Hinihintay niya ako. Magtatanan na kami. I bite my lower lip to stop myself from grinning.

I looked at the clock hanging on the wall. When I saw that it's already midnight, I grabbed my bag and stood up. Huminga muna ako nang malalim bago nagsimulang maglakad. I slowly walk towards the door before carefully opening it, avoiding making a single scratch that can wake anyone. I peek my head outside and when I see that the cost is clear I immediately make my way down the stairs.
