I smiled at everyone around me while I sipped on my hot chocolate. This moment was perfect, all of my family and friends were together opening up presents. The fireplace heated my body, so I was struggling to keep my eyes open at this point. I ate two plates of food and some dessert on top of that. I was trying to repress my appetite, but this little boy growing inside of me constantly made me hungry.

My husband came over and set my hot chocolate down on the table. I was going to object because I wasn't finished yet, but he pulled me into his arms anyway. I couldn't help but to smile and snuggle closer to him while we watched Kyrah open the rest of her presents. I had to admit that our family and friends went all out for her this year. I also couldn't believe that she would be four in a couple of months, she was growing up so fast.

Watching our loved ones laugh and enjoy each other's company was like music to my ears. I started to feel tired from the food, so I decided to take a quick nap. I must've dozed off for a while because when I woke up, the room was dark and everyone was watching a movie. Surprisingly no one left yet since it was getting late.

We had a few guest bedrooms and a guest house in the back so there was enough room for everyone to stay. Bryson kissed my forehead then laid me against him, so I was laying on his lap. He rubbed my large belly while my eyes adjusted to the light from the tv screen.

"Are you feeling ok love? The baby has been going insane in there all night." Bryson whispered so we didn't disrupt anyone.

"I'm ok babe. I'm not sure what he's doing in there, but his kicks are taking my breath away." I replied with a yawn.

"I'm just making sure you're ok. He's usually never that active."

"That's true, and I hope that he calms down soon because all that kicking is making me nauseous," I replied before getting up to go to the bathroom.

Bryson helped me up from the sofa, then I waddled towards the bathroom. This pregnancy was a lot different than my first one. Our son was a lot more active compared to Kyrah, and I was always hungry.

I was now eight and a half months so I was ready for him to get here already. I quickly went to the bathroom and washed my hands. I looked in the mirror and admired my brown skin that was glowing. I was fortunate enough to not have any swelling in my face during both of my pregnancies. The rest of my body wasn't as fortunate, my feet and hands were swollen throughout my third trimester.

I decided to change up my look for the holidays, so I dyed my hair an Ombre color. I also cut my hair, so it was now shoulder length. To perfect my look, I straightened it and then added some curls. I also applied my makeup lightly and I wore a fitted black sweater dress. Bryson and our loved ones were shocked when they saw me. Now that I was 27, I started to dress more maturely and I wanted to change up my appearance.

After drying my hands, I exited the bathroom and made my way back to the family room. This year we went all out with decorations. Our house was the perfect size for us, so we put Christmas trees in almost every room. This room had a white Christmas tree that touched the ceiling. The red ornaments and white lights gleamed in the dark and lit up the room.

I smiled as I made my way back to the sofa. Kyrah was cuddled up next to Bryson watching Home Alone. These were the moments that I always dreamed of, and now I got what I wanted. God answered my prayers and I was so grateful for my family.

I decided to sit between Kyrah and Bryson, so I could cuddle both of them. The baby must've wanted to be involved too because his kicks amped up again. Now the kicks were taking my breath away and I started to feel cramps in my lower abdomen.

"Bryson, I'm not sure what's going on, but this baby might be coming today."

Bryson got up in an instant and pulled me onto his lap. He was very protective of me this pregnancy because he almost missed Kyrah's birth. What we went through in the past was traumatic, but we got through it together. I prayed that this birth would go by smoothly without any complications.
