The principle walked up to the small microphone stand and looked out to the full auditorium of students. "Hello, and welcome to Crestview High!" He paused to stare at the Junior year section and momentarily made eye contact with Kai. He grabbed the microphone stand. "This year we will push for more equality in our school by integrating a new LGBT club open to all students." As he said this multiple students scoffed at the idea, others clapped and cheered. The principle eyed the students who were rolling their eyes and poking fun at the idea. "For more info on the club please visit room 354 or pick up a flyer in the office." Kai loved the idea of a new LGBT club. The kid next to them nudged their arm. "Hear that? Now all you flamboyant fucks can get together." He laughed. Kai rolled their eyes. The principle continued to talk. "As for you football people.." he paused for the hollering of the football team to stop. "...We have a new recruit from another school here." A tall muscular saber toothed tiger appeared on the stage. "This is Shiro. Say hello to him." The auditorium erupted with "HELLO SHIRO!". Shiro coyly waved "Hullo". The principle stood in front of Shiro to get to the microphone. "Alright students, have a great first day!" The principle patted Shiro on the shoulder and directed him to the edge of the stage. Kai sat in their chair and waited for everyone to stampede out before getting up. They watched Shiro merge into the rowdy football team and thought nothing of it. They picked up their backpack, slung it on their back, and left the auditorium.
