Scene 1:
A few weeks have passed. Clive, Leonard and Kimi missed some classes of Term 3. Right now, it's August, and they're ready to make a big comeback to Red Fire. Clive is now entering the school, and runs into Kimi.
[Clive and Kimi high-five]
Kimi: It's good to be back.
Clive: You bet. So, how's your foot?
Kimi: I can walk normally, but if I try to jump or whatever, it will still hurt.
Clive: Well, just be glad, it could have been much worse.
Kimi: You bet... I still think it's my fault.
Clive: Don't do that to yourself. You drove responsibly. It was that damn oil spill.
[Leonard arrives and high-fives them]
Clive: Good to have you back.
Leonard: Likewise... By the way, Kaipo, Claire, and the rest of the gang supposedly tried to visit us at the hospital, but couldn't, because of them only allowing families.
Kimi: Didn't know that.
Clive: And by the rest, you mean...
Leonard: (continuing him) Yes, Stacy too. And Tiffany.
Clive: Cool.
Leonard: So Kimi, how's the Holden?
Kimi: Completely fucked, but the insurance will cover it.
[Jason and Karl show up, and welcome them back]
Jason: So glad you guys are okay.
Karl: (hands each one of them a bunch of notes) This is all the stuff you guys missed.
Leonard: Thanks so much, mates.
Clive: Yeah, we really appreciate it.
Jason: Oh please, we did what any decent person would.
[They begin walking to class]
Kimi: So, what's new?
Jason: Oh boy, a lot has happened since Term 3 started.
Karl: Indy released her album.
Kimi: (unenthusiastically) Yay.
Karl: But wait, there's more.
Jason: So much more. Max's cartoon has premiered on TV.
Leonard: (unenthusiastically) Yay.
Karl: Oh, and that's not all.
Jason: You guys will never guess what happened.
Karl: Max and Indy are engaged.
Clive: (unenthusiastically) Yay... (realizes what he just heard) Excuse me, what the fuck?
Jason: Yep. You heard that right.
Karl: And they have been the center of attention for the last few weeks, because of that.
Clive: But how? How?!
Jason: Apparently Max proposed to her when they went on a skiing trip to Kiandra or some shit. At least that's what I heard.
Leonard: Isn't it like... Super early for them to do that?
Clive: Guess they forgot they're supposed to be 16.
Kimi: I mean, I'm not the best person to judge, since I'll be living with my girlfriend on Coral Bay next year, but wow, I never pictured them getting married so soon.
