Girl Meets Valentine's Day [lucaya fanfic]

Chapter 8:Elevator

Farkle's POV

I run to the Matthew's apartment. Riley will surely end up here at some point.

Heading up the elevator, I run into a blond, wavy-haired girl. "Maya!" I say, relieved she's here. Then I hear a loud banging sound.

"Farkle?" Maya yells. The elevator has suddenly become pitch-black, and it doesn't feel like we're moving anymore. 

"Maya?" I yell back. I hold my hands out, trying to find her. I can hear her breathing, but I can't see anything. My mind races. How will we get out? 

"Maya do you have your phone?" I ask. 

"No," she replies. I move in the direction of her voice. 

"I added a tracker to my watch. Lucas has one on his phone, so maybe he'll come and find us?" I say. I hope its true. 

Maya laughs. 

"What's so funny?" I ask. 

"Just this whole thing," she replies. "I mean, we're stuck in an elevator, chasing a friend who's who knows where, and all because of Lucas." 

I laugh. "Yeah." We sit in silence for a few minutes. After all, what else can we do?

"Just so you know," I say, "I'm happy for you and Lucas. You guys are great together." 

Even though I can't see her, I can tell Maya's blushing. "Thanks," she says. "You like Riley, right?" 

Now it's my turn to blush. "Yeah. I didn't think she liked me, but in the hall today, she held my hand." 

"Aww," Maya sighs, "Yes! Filey! It's gonna happen! I so ship it." 

The elevator swings and Maya falls on top of me. Well, this is awkward. 

"Sorry, Farkle," she says, and starts to stand up, but the elevator swings again, knocking her back down. 

The elevator door opens, and I see Lucas standing outside. His relieved smile suddenly turns upside down when he sees us. 

"Oh my gosh, Lucas, this isn't what it looks like, I promise," Maya says quickly, standing up. 

But Lucas is already walking away.

A/N: ......and there goes Lucas. Next chapter will be up tuesday or wednesday. It's a 2-part chapter, so I might post them both on the same day, it'll depend how fast I finish the second one. Btw, thanks for almost 300 reads! You're the best.
