Girl Meets Valentine's Day [lucaya fanfic]

Chapter 9: At Riley's house, Part 1

Lucas's POV 

I knock on the Matthews Family's door. "It's Lucas!" I yell. 

I hear whispering inside. "This is Auggie," says a little voice. "My twin, Riley, says she doesn't want to see you and you should probably go back to see her ex-friend Maya or something." 

"Okay, thanks Auggie. Can you tell Riley that I just caught her ex-friend Maya lying in the elevator with Farkle?" I ask.

There's a brief moment of silence inside before the door swings open. I see Riley lying on the couch. She runs over and hugs me.

"Lucas-i-liked-you-i-like-liked-you-but-you-don't-like-me-you-like-maya-but-it's-okay-now-because-i-like-farkle!"Riley says quickly, her voice hoarse. 

"What?" I ask. 

"Women," Auggie says, throwing his arms up in the air. "Who can understand them?" And with that he walked away, taking his best friend, Mr. Googley, with him. 

I come inside the door and sit down next to Riley. 

"I'm sorry about me and Maya, Riley." I say.

She sits up. "It's okay, Lucas. You like Maya. And she-" Riley looks away. 

"She what?" I ask. 

"Nothing," Riley says, blushing. 

I can sense she's hiding something. "Riley."

"I can't say." she answers. 

I put my face in my hands. "It doesn't matter anyway. She likes Farkle." I grimace as I say his name.

"No she doesn't," Riley whispers, shaking her head.

I look at her through my fingers. "How would you know?" 

"I can't say!" she protests. 

I give her my best "puppy dog eyes" 

"Ask her yourself," she shrugs. 

"But how? I just accused her of liking Farkle. If it's not true, she's gonna kill me." 

"You can't kill the person you love," Riley says. Or at least that's what I think she says. She's talking too quietly for me to really hear.

The intercom buzzes. "It's Maya! And Farkle!"

I immediately get tense. But Riley calmly walks over to the door. She presses the speaker. "Come on up!" 

Then Maya, Farkle, Cory, Topanga, and the Matthews' family's friend Shawn Hunter walk in.

A/N This is a 2-part chapter, hope you liked this part! I'm thinking there'll be 3-4 more chapters of this book. Got a few questions for you...

1) Do you want these last few chapters to be from all four characters' points of view or just Lucas and Maya?

2) After this, do you want a sequel or a new Laya fanfic? I might end up doing both anyway 

Okay, that's all for now. I'm just wrapping up the next chapter and I'll post it as soon as I'm done.
