Chapter 4

I looked at my texts, nothing from Reagan in a long time. I sighed and looked at Taylor, she had gotten grounded from her phone so she didn't have her phone tonight. I looked at my date, one of the hot jocks Jake, he smiled and then leaned in and kissed me, we had been dating for a while but we broke up when he started blowing me off for football games and his stupid jock buddies. He'd apologize though and we were back together as of tonight.

Then I heard my phone buzz, I looked at my phone to see a text from Reagan, finally. It said she just needed some alone time with Slater and she was now coming back. I sighed and gave a thumbs up to Taylor who squealed and laughed as her date another jerky jock Tanner started tickling her.

I looked at the back door where she had disappeared out of almost an hour ago. I waited. Then she appeared behind me. She touched my shoulder and I jumped.

"Don't scare me like that!" I laughed.

"Sorry." she said apologizing for taking so long outside and for scaring me.

August was next to her talking to her brother Slater; they seemed to be arguing about something. What did I care about unless it included a little love between Reagan and Slater. I looked around to see one of August and Reagan's friends appear, her name is Dawn i think, i don't know her that well, she went and whispered something into August's ear, she looked like she had seen a ghost, she turned around and started to tell Slater something but it was too late, someone had gotten up on stage.

"I know what you are thinking! He yelled.

"Get off the stage!" I heard someone yell.

"I just wanted to say, there are vampires and other monsters in our town!" he yelled.

Slater slowly turned to August. And I knew something was up.
