Wait until night

Chapter 20

August

There is NO WAY I'm going to listen to Brooklyn! She's a werewolf! She probably wants us to stay here so they can attack us! We were all ready to go save Reagan now. I haven't had a battle like this one since.... Ever actually! It's always been my parents out battling werewolves. I've still been in small fights, but not

very deathly fights. This fight could be VERY DEATHLY if it goes the wrong way.

"Is everyone ready!?" dad asked.

We all said yes. I really hope we are all ready.

When we got to the werewolves den, I was super ready to fight. I looked over at Lydia, she was looking sorta nervous but brave. I turned to Slater, he looked like he was going to kill everyone. But I have to kill Jake, he killed Logan! And I need to avenge him!

I looked up at the night sky. It was red because it was a blood moon tonight. I love the color red. I looked at the moon. Of course it had to be a full moon! That means that the werewolves are going to be two times stronger and faster than usual. But because it's a BLOOD MOON, we will be ten times stronger and faster. Blood Moons only happen twice a year. Usually we go hunting for bigger animals with a tastier blood flavor, but tonight, we are going to fight!

"Well well well! There they are!" Jake said.

I glared at him. Because of him, my boyfriend is dead! But he'll know what it feels like to die soon enough.

"Good to see you again Bella!" Jacob said coming out of his den.

"I can't say the same about you." Mom said.

She's a beast!

Jacob looked at Dad and snarled. I know that they used to be friends and stuff but, when Mom entered the scene, they changed... a lot!

Jake's mom Elaina appreded. Jacob married Elaina because he wanted Bella but didn't get her so he didn't want to be alone. Elaina is super nice... but not to vampires. Mom and Elaina used to be friends, but that all changed when Jacob was jealous and stuff.

"Well is it good to see me Bella?" Elaina said.

"Ehh, it's better to see you than Jacob." Mom said. Again, she's a BEAST!

We entered the den where Reagan was. She was tied up to a pole. She was happy to see us... but when she saw Slater, she stopped smiling. I'm sad for Reagan because I knew how much she liked him, but now... she wants nothing to do with him.

"Get them!" Jacob said.

The werewolves all lunged at us. We smiled at each other showing our fangs and then we started fighting. I looked over to Slater, he ran right to Reagan. He untied her. She gave a small smile then they started helping us fight. Lydia was attacking Brooklyn's siblings. I never knew that the twins and Nixon became werewolves, but they did. Allie and Ellie have been great friends Lydia forever, but now I'm seeing them attack each other. Axel is Nixon's friend. I'm glad that Axel wasn't here, that would be terribly sad.

I was fighting with Jake. I couldn't let him win! He clawed me in the back. I could feel a lot of blood rush down my back. I didn't care until he slashed my stomach. That started bleeding a lot, too. He looked at me as I bent over holding my wound. Jake laughed then started yelling at me.

"YOUR WEAK! YOU THOUGHT HE BLOOD MOON WOULD HELP YOU!!! BUT YOU WERE WRONG!!! YOU ALWAYS ARE WRONG!!! YOU WERE WRONG TO COME HERE TONIGHT, WE WERE WRONG TO DRIVE LOGAN HOME, AND YOU WERE WRONG TO TURN REAGAN INTO A VAMPIRE!!!!"

My stomach hurt like crazy. I couldn't stand up for myself. I couldn't talk without it throbbing like crazy. I closed my eyes knowing this was how I would end. But before Jake clawed me again, I opened my eyes to see Brooklyn attacking him. She's helping me?!
