Chapter 8

Taylor Lively

Brooklyn arrived at my house 1 hour before the movie is going to start. She always comes early so we can get ready together, after all, she lives right next door to me. She moved in when we were in kindergarten and we've been best friends ever since. Reagan lives two houses down from me and our mom's were best friends ever since THEY were in kindergarten! Our families are basically family. But when her mom passed away from a horrible car crash because this really REALLY big dog jumped through her car and made her drive off of the road which was right over a cliff, our parents haven't talked. I tried to get my parents to talk to her dad, but my mom said she would break out in a horrible cry. They will talk again... eventually.

"Taylor!" Brooklyn started, "We are watching a vampire movie! You have to look good! Not comfortable! What if boys come!?"

I shrugged. I really didn't care. But then there was a second knock at the door.

"Who could that be?" I asked.

"I invited someone else."

"TOMMY! GET THE DOOR!!!" I yelled at my younger brother.

"YOU GET YOUR BUTT UP TAYLOR! IT'S YOUR FRIEND AFTER ALL!" he yelled back at me.

Reagan and I are basically the same, except for one thing, she loves her siblings, I HATE TOMMY!

I ran up the stairs to the door. When I opened it, Ava was standing in front of me with her super ugly boyfriend Tyler. Tyler Weedly! Literally the ugliest person alive!

"What are you doing here Ava!?" I wanted to punch her!

"I'm here to get ready for the party! Oh Tyler, you can go! It's a girl party!"

"Okay! Bye cutie!" he said then he kissed her and walked to his car.

Brooklyn ran to the door, "HEY AVA!!! I'M SO HAPPY YOU COULD COME!"

"You knew I would bestie!!!" Ava said as she grabbed Brooklyns hands.

Then they laughed hysterically. I did a fake laugh because I didn't want to be left out or anything but I didn't like it. Finally Ava broke this awkward laughing and said, "I need the bathroom! Where is it!?" I pointed down the hall.

Then I turned to Brooklyn "BESTIE!? SINCE WHEN!?"

"We hung out last night and it was so much fun!"

"She's our tourmenter! ESPECIALLY to August and Reagan!"

Brooklyn shrugged and then said, "So? She's changed!"

"She changed over one or two days?"

"YES!!! PEOPLE CAN CHANGE TAYLOR!... I HAVE!"

"No kidding!"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nevermind! Let's do our makeup!" I said as we walked to the bathroom.

When it was time for the movie Brooklyn and Ava had officially driven me crazy about them wanting us to make Ava part of our group. So when we started walking over to Reagan's house I just was over everything!

"AVA IF YOU WANT TO BE PART OF THIS GROUP YOU HAVE TO NICE TO AUGUST AND REAGAN!!"

"I plan to!" Ava said with a big smile... it was sorta creepy.

When we got to Reagan's door, August pulled up.

"What is she doing here?" she said pointing to Ava.

"AUGUST!!! She's our friend!" Brooklyn said like she was offended.

"Uh huh."

I rolled my eyes. This was getting really annoying really fast. Then Reagan's door opened.

"UHHHHH... What is AVA doing HERE!" Reagan asked sorta mad.

"That's what I asked!" August said.

"Guys! I'm here to PARTY!!! Right bestie?" Ava nugged Brooklyn.

"YEP!" Brooklyn said as she linked arms with Ava.

I looked at Reagan. She was thinking the same thing I was. What the frick happened last night! How have they become this close! Did I say something to Brooklyn to make her mad at me!?

"Well... let's go watch the movie." Reagan said as she opened the door more so we all could walk in.

"What movie are we going to watch?" Ava asked like she was invited to the party.

"I was thinking about watching 'Twilight'. Actually, I wasn't thinking... were ARE going to!" Reagan said. I'm glad she said it like she owned the place... because she does.

"Ugh! Vampires are so dumb!" Ava said then checked her phone.

"I don't think vampires are dumb!" August said with a lot of anger.

"I bet you only hate vampires because your last name is VanHelsing!" Reagan said.

In the corner of my eye, I saw August jump a little. What's happening to us!? We are acting so differently. August and Reagan have always been great friends but they have been hanging out so much now, and Brooklyn is now "BESTIES" with Ava! Something is going on... and I'm going to find out.
