August

I smiled at Reagan's dad who was talking to Reagan. He nodded at me and then shut the door. Then I saw the blood. I looked at Slater. Slater you have her blood on you. I said stepping back really slow.

"No, I don't." He said looking at me.

"Yeah you do!" I started to panic.

"No I really don't it's okay." he said lifting up his shirt. There was a huge bite mark. Oh no. the werewolves had hurt him. My eyes flashed red. I was angry, really really angry. I started running as fast as I could to the border between the old Vampire's territory and the Werewolves territory. The werewolves had claimed that they needed more territory so stupidly our parents had given them more land. I stopped at the border and waited. Then Slater appeared behind me.

"Don't" he wanted.

"Why not? Cause they didn't hurt you? They did. Cause they didn't kill you? They could've, cause it doesn't matter? Well it does!" I shouted at him.

"It just isn't your problem!" he said angrily.

"Yeah but who is going to take care of you! Not mom and dad! They'd get you in trouble for getting mixed up with wolves. Not Reagan cause she's just now become a werewolf." I said tears in my eyes.

"I can take care of myself. Just because you are a little older than me, doesn't mean I always need your help. Doesn't mean that you need to protect your little brother." he said his eyes flashing red. I looked at him. I can't believe he just said that to me. He knows I hate werewolves. He knows- Never Mind If he doesn't want my help I won't help him. At ALL.

"Wait, August, I am sorry. You know I didn't mean-" he started. But I turned my back on him and stepped across the border. Howels started to puncture the night sky and I turned in the werewolfs territory to face my brother.

"August!" he cried as the wolves came up behind me.

"Get off out land" snarled one of them. I looked up at the sky, the full moon was about to be covered by the clouds. I smiled as Jake and Brooklyn turned back into their human forms.

"Get off our land." Snarled Brooklyn.

"Okay, I just wanted to tell you something." I said smiling.

"What!" he said.

"This!" I said laughing as I reached out and slapped Brooklyn in the face. I laughed as I stepped back into my territory and ran home.

I stepped inside and Lydia greeted me. But she stepped back looking scared. My eyes were red again.

"MOM!" she cried running away. I didn't care. Sure I loved Lydia, but I didn't care anymore.

"August what happened?" I heard my dad say. I ran upstairs and into my room then I slammed and locked the door.

"August!" I heard my mom call my name but I didn't care. A tear rolled down my cheek as I packed up my room. Then Slater was yelling for me from downstairs. I could tell he was really mad. I looked around my now empty room. Empty walls. Empty room I had fit it all in one backpack and two boxes. I tore a piece of paper from my journal.

"You'll never get help from me again." I wrote.

"August!" I could hear him coming up the stairs now. He was at my door knocking hard. I looked at the door one last time and then opened the door to my balcony and jumped off. I gripped the boxes tighter and ran. I ran as fast as I could to town. Then I made my way to the house my Grandparents used to live in. it was abandoned and run down now, and no one even cared about it. They wouldn't think that I would even think about going there. So I went in and locked the door behind me.

I walked through the wall, I mean through the hole in the wall into what used to be the bedroom. Then I sat down on the moth eaten disgusting bed. And I looked around. I sat my boxes and backpack down. I sighed but stood up. And started to clean the house.

A few hours later of hard work, the house was fit to live in. It was still in really bad condition, but I could spend the night there. I laid down and pulled out my computer and turned off the location. Then I started to do school. I had lots of school.

When I finished my school It was morning, well really really early morning. I looked around the room and pulled out my stuff from the boxes. I set everything on the bed and then put things where I thought they should go. When I finished I needed to go to the bathroom. So I went in there. It was the nicest thing in the house, I didn't have to clean it at all.

I was looking around when I caught my reflection in the mirror. My eyes were bright red. I rubbed them hoping that the color of my eyes would change back to their dark brown color. They didn't, Ugh I rubbed them until they hurt, and then it hit me, I couldn't go back to my house again. I didn't' really care but the thought of me as a monster who scared my little sister and left without a word made my cry.

An hour later I stopped crying. And I stood up off of the floor. I was glad to see my eyes had retired to their original color. At least I could go to school now. Well in one and a half hours.

I pulled out my clothes. No, everything reminded me of home. So I threw them away. Then I ran to the nearest store wearing my dark clothes that I was wearing. I walked around the store until I found the right stuff. Usually I had tried to fit in, I had normal clothes that fit in with what people wore. But now I was going full... Vampire. If you looked at me, you could see that I had changed but unless you were looking for a vampire, then you could tell.

I brought them to the house I was staying at. Well home now, and I changed into my Brand New Blood Red Doc Martens, my bright red Crop Top and my black ripped jeans, Okay they weren't really Vampire clothes but they fit the aesthetic, I also had a dead rose charm on my necklace, apple earrings and a blood drop ring.

I smiled at my reflection, I also removed my makeup so I would be more pale. My whole family normally puts on foundation or concealer to make our skin look normal, not pale. But I still wore smokey eye shadow, mascara, and deep red lipstick. I decided to embrace my pale, but hot, face. I embraced being a vampire. And if people made fun of me, they'll be in for it!
