Destinee? That's a nice name, he thought to himself, then he asked her,"So when did you learn those moves?".

"Well, I'm glad you asked, Espio", answered Destinee as she showed him a book she brought with her a few days ago,"I learned them from my father and he gave me this book and I thought of it as a guidance to fulfilling the prophecy of the Wallflower Ninja".

"Prophecy of the Wallflower Ninja?", he asked her confused.

"You haven't heard of it? It's a prophecy where a Wallflower Ninja must defeat the dark lord. That dark lord that destroyed my home when I was a kid", explained Destinee.

Sounds interesting, but sad for a lady like her, he thought to himself.

"When I was a kid, I lived happily with my family at the edge of Forest Hill that's kept secret. I spent most of the time learning Ninjutsu from my father. But that all changed one faithful day when I became ten", she explained,"We were supposed to protect our home, but the dark lord attacked us. My relatives were no match for him, probably because they did not represent the Wallflower Ninja. My mom got me to safety, but in the end, I was safe, but everybody else including my parents... ".

Then, she looked down in sadness and tears filled her eyes with a few rolling down her cheeks.

"They...".

Then, more tears rolled down her cheeks as she cried softly for them.

"They didn't make it...".

Espio began to have sympathy for her. He felt bad for her for losing her family that cared about her.

"And... the only thing I have left from my family is the book... and this", she said as she showed him her katana,"My father said that this katana was the guidance to fulfilling the prophecy. It was originally his, but during an accident, this is all I found besides the ruins of my home".

That's when he walked closer to her and comforted her by touching her right shoulder,"Hey, no need to worry about your tragic past. Everyone has bad days too and everyone has tough challenges to face. Like me. Being a ninja is not easy, but when you learn to be one, you'll be prepared to face challenges like this".

She smiled at him softly,"Thanks, Espio. For five years, I practiced Ninjutsu through what I learned and observed from my father, then the book. And now, I found you".

He blushed by her words and smiled at her back in response.

Suddenly, Destinee asked him a question that startled him,"I don't suppose we could have a friendly duel, do we?".
