It's been a month since Aleyah was defeated (or so they thought) and the world was at peace once again. Everyone was doing their usual business. Amy, Cream, Cheese, Big, Gemerl, Chocola and Vanilla were having a picnic. Knuckles was still guarding the Master Emerald as usual. Sonic was helping Tails test his latest invention.
As for Runa, she and Shadow were officially dating and she's no longer a shy girl she used to be, but a serious and tough girl waiting to fulfill her purpose again. Right now, she was still training to become a G.U.N. Agent with Team Dark and her Chao friends (Rosy, Mystico, Juniper, Bearace and Shania) supporting her.
As for the Chaotix, things are quite noisy in their Detective Agency Office, so Espio went to the park to meditate.
Later, he formed a battle stance because he heard a noise nearby him. He looked around cautiously to see if anyone's there. Until he heard a slicing sound and he followed it. And it led him to...
Another chameleon.
But not just another chameleon. She was a female maroon chameleon with eyes that are as green as grass, with short hair (A/N: I'm sorry. I don't know what to call it XD), peach muzzle and she wore a gray, green and black ninja Gi and gray boots.
He was impressed with her ninja skills and her katana skills and it seemed like she didn't notice him coming. When she made a final jump, a final slice with her katana and stuck the landing, she panted softly that she decided to give herself a break and moved on.
"Who is that?", he asked himself speechless, though unfortunately, he didn't get a chance to greet her.
A few days later...
The Chaotix finally gave themselves a day-off after all the recent cases they solved. Espio decided to go to the park again where he first met the maroon chameleon. He went invisible before entering the gate. He went to the tree where he meditated under it and moved on nearby a small hill where he saw the same chameleon a few days ago, but this time, she was meditating.
After a few minutes, the maroon chameleon felt like someone was staring at her. She quickly prepared herself for fighting stsnce by grabbing the slinged bag that holds her katana, puts it around her with the katana on her back, grabbed it and went into fighting stance. She looked around cautiously seeing if anyone's there.
A few moments later, she said,"Whoever you are, come out!".
Immediately, Espio turned visible and showed himself,"It's just me".
This left her relieved that he's not the enemy, but still doesn't know if she could trust him, so she just asked,"What is it that you want?".
"I was meditating under the nearest tree when I heard a sound causing me to have cautious battle stance. I looked around to see if anyone's there. A moment later, I heard a sound that led to you. I have to admit, I was impressed with your ninja skills especially with your katana. In the end, I haven't got to tell you how much I appreciate them", Espio explained to her.
She chuckled, her face going a little red,"Thanks. I really appreciate that".
"You're welcome. My name is Espio", he introduced himself, "What's yours?".
She looked down at the ground hesitantly, then at Espio introducing herself,"My name... is Destinee".
