08.Confusion

Eunhyuk opened the door of the doctor's room and walked in. Doctor Watson was half buried in a whirlwind of papers, books, repots an other what-not on his desk. He didn't even notice when Eunhyuk came and stood in front him.

"What are you doing?" Eunhyuk asked in interest, making the doctor wobble in his chair. Watson looked up, and to his enormous surprise, he saw Hyukjae standing in front of him with a quizzical look on his face.

"Nothing nothing, just work and stuff" he indicated Eunhyuk to sit down.

"I wasn't expecting you this early Hyukjae, don't you have lectures?" he asked while clearing away files.

"I do but I had to cut them. I have an evening practice I can't cut so that's why" said Hyukjae looking down on the floor.

"I see...I'm happy to see you here again owing to the way our last meeting ended" said the Doctor raising an eyebrow. Hyukjae looked mildly embarrassed.

"I know, and I'm sorry about that, I guess I wasn't in my right mind."

"that's ok son, I know you too well to think that you actually meant what you said"

Doctor Watson gave Eunhyuk's face a searching look. The boy seemed exhausted for some reason, his hair had gone astray with wild bangs falling carelessly over his eyes. He looked like he haven't slept for a while. Watson looked at him closely, something was troubling him; he was sure of it.

"Eunhyuk? is something troubling you?" the doctor asked soothingly. "if you have, then we can discuss about it"

Hyukjae looked as if he would rather get up and leave before he started discussing his personal things, but he gave up and his shoulders slumped.

"I think I have a problem", he said finally.

"Go on"

"It's just that half of my life, I've stayed alone and I didn't have anyone to talk to except for maybe Jay...and my mother" said Eunhyuk with some discomfort.

The Doctor listened intently. This was new; Eunhyuk was finally opening up to him.

Watson was glad but inside he was slightly worried as well. Eunhyuk had always been arrogant and reluctant to talk about himself before, So why now?

"But I want to- to have...I mean, I don't know what to do!" cried Eunhyuk unable to go on.

"Do you mean that you want to have someone to share your life with?" asked the Doctor gently.

"Yes...no, I don't know, sometimes I feel like my head would burst if I didn't talk with anyone and now that he's there-"

"who?" asked Watson.

Eunhyuk looked absolutely taken aback, he looked down on the floor and took several seconds to respond.

"Donghae"

"Tell me" he whispered presently, looking up at Watson, "Am I going insane?"

Watson took a sharp breath. He had waited 12 years for Eunhyuk to realize that he can't go on spending his time alone. The Doctor looked at the 20 year-old kindly; he leaned forward, and started parting the stray hair away from Hyukjae's eyes; and he saw that the boy was visibly shaking, and the tears that have gathered in his eyes threatened to fall.
