17. Invisible

"I'm falling apart right infront of your eyes, but you don't even see me"

-Invisible.

Donghae was walking down the corridor. He didn't even see where he was going because his head was scattered with different thoughts that threatened to drag him out of  his sanity.

He was thinking about Eunhyuk as usual, but Donghae didn't want to do the same mistake twice and end up going through the same pain once again.
He had made a promise to himself and he will live by it.

Thinking about him only made things worse, it just made him feel like he was standing in the middle of nowhere.

why can't you find yourself a girl like a normal guy? you don't even talk to girls! you were never like this before you came to this place!, he thought; astonished at himself.

Suddenly he crashed it to someone and he saw papers flying everywhere. When he looked up, there was a cute brown haired girl on the floor with her round glasses gone wildly astray.

"shit!" said Donghae and he quickly helped her up."I'm really sorry, I didn't see you!" he appologized and started collecting all the papers that were strewn everywhere on the floor.

"no no no! It's alright! honestly! it was my fault too, I should've looked where I was going!" she said and started helping Donghae to pick up the sheets.
Suddenly she stopped and gazed at him shyly.

"I know who you are!" she breathed in a cute little voice. "you are, you are... Lee Dong-"

"Lee Donghae" he said amused.

"Donghae" she repeated and blushed hard."my name is Jia" she said shyly sticking out her hand.

"It's really nice to meet you...Jia" said Donghae and shook it.

"I-I saw you on half term...dancing with Eunhyuk... you- you danced so beautifully" she said with her glasses slipping comically off her nose.

Donghae was surprised to hear it, he'd always believed that everyone was concertrating on Hyukjae's moves. It hadn't occured to him that some poeple had been actually looking at him.

Donghae smiled at her, "Thank you" he said "I'm sorry to say this but I actually haven't seen you before"

"oh! me..I'm not a very outdoors type of girl, since it's my first year I don't have many friends" she said shyly.

Donghae remembered his own first day. If it hadn't been for Leeteuk, he would've probably ended up just like her. It seemed too rude not to offer her his friendship when she herself had the courage to admit that she didn't have many friends for all this time.

"We can be friends!" said Donghae giving her his bright smile,
"anyways you can talk to me whenever you want...if you want to"

"oh!" said Jia and looked down."Thankyou Donghae...I really appreciate it. I don't really have a best friend to talk to- I mean, all the girls here have their own best friends and I'm-"

Donghae saw her struggling, and it hit him how miserable she looked.

"I know! we'll swap our numbers, then if you are feeling sad, you can talk to me" said Donghae.

The girl looked at him surprised, "ohh thank you but I hate to be a bother-"

"no bother" said Donghae "it's just that I get how you feel"

"where were you?" said Eunhyuk as Donghae sat down next to him.

"hmm? oh I was just wandering through the hallways" said Donghae.
