"Enthusiasm is common,
Endurance is rare"

-Angela Duckworth.

For almost 2 weeks, Donghae was able to avoid Eunhyuk. These were small victories since they still had to sit side by side at breakfast and lunch. Donghae had now mastered the art of completely ignoring Hyukjae, but sometimes Donghae couldn't help himself as he stole small glances at Eunhyuk just out of curiosity.

At times, Donghae would notice him wild and arrogant but sometimes; just sometimes, there was a lost, faraway look in his eyes which concerned him.
Although he wanted to help, his intuition didn't let him take unnecessary risks.

Donghae simply hated professor Kim Jong's sessions. Partly because the man was bossy, and partly because Donghae wasn't used to dancing for rap styles.
He saw the others struggling as well; this was a small comfort for him. On the other hand, there was Eunhyuk who was completely comfortable in his own element. As much as Donghae hated Eunhyuk, he couldn't help but be fascinated at his supreme dancing skills.

So Donghae practiced; he practiced like never before, in his room, even in the shower; until his moves were almost perfect as Eunhyuk's.

Donghae thought himself lucky to be able to get out of Eunhyuk's death threats, but his luck was tested harshly one morning. Donghae, Sungmin, Kyu, Ryeowook and Yesung and a bunch of other first and second years were have the daily session with professor Kim. Eunhyuk was at the front of the class.

Since Jong was lazy about doing two separate sessions for the 1st years and 2nd years, he had decided to mix the two classes in one hall, so the class was pretty crowded. Professor Kim Jong had been testing Eunhyuk's performance when he saw Donghae practicing hard at the back of the class.

"YOU! Lee Donghae! come forward" he commanded while Hyukjae turned and looked at Donghae, offering him a cold death stare.
Donghae turned white, tight lipped; he walked to the front of the class and it felt like his life forces were being sucked out.

"Come and stand beside Hyukjae" barked Kim, and Donghae accordingly stood beside Eunhyuk with his head bowed; unable to look up.

"The rest of you brats!" yelled Kim. "Take a fifteen minutes break!"
there was a collective sigh of relief as people grumbled to the side trying to find their water bottles and energy drinks .Kim Jong gave Donghae a head-to-toe stare.

"Look up boy!" he said "I want you and Hyukjae to dance to the track we learnt last week"

Donghae looked up and heaved a sigh of relief; he had practiced that one.

"Yes sir" he said.

Donghae looked at Hyukjae who was staring straight ahead; not even acknowledging Donghae's presence. Kim tapped to on the music player and both Donghae and Eunhyuk started dancing.

Each time Donghae stopped to the beat, Hyukjae managed to stop a millisecond before; thus being deadly accurate. Eunhyuk's dancing looked seemingly effortless; his moves in sync with the song to the last possible millisecond. There was no question about who was more talented.

this guy is not human, thought Donghae gritting his teeth.

But to Dnghae's surprise, the Professor's eyes never left him. His eyes bore down on Donghae like two cannons; watching and judging him. When they finally finished, Kim gave himself a self satisfied grunt.

"Good, room for more improvement, but good anyways", he said to the astonished Donghae. "Nice to see someone else also taking interest in these kind of arts."
