Aang saw the sadness in her eyes and sped to the hospital where Sokka met them in the entry of the hospital where they hugged

"Sokka is mum okay?" Katara looked up at Sokka with big eyes ready to tear

"Katara i dunno the surgeons are doing there job and they said well, she might not..." Sokka turned his head around

"who would do such a thing!" Katara cried clutching her hand

Katara started crying a lot and seeing that Aang got out of the car and locked it

"oh Aang?" Sokka questioned looking at him waving

"you drove without Katara so i lifted her here" Aang crossed his arms

"oh, sorry Katara" Sokka looked at Katara 

"well, let's wait in the waiting room" Sokka pointed trying to change the topic

The three sat down and Katara was trying to wipe her tears from spilling out so Aang got tissues in his bag and wiped them for Katara and smiled

"so are you guys together?" Sokka looked at them crossing his arms 

Katara and Aang looked at him blankly and Katara blushed

"none ya" Katara teased trying to hide her sad face

Sokka rolled his eyes and played on his phone and well as texting Suki why he left so soon

Several hours later the head surgeon called in, Sokka and Katara in to tell them the news and Aang waited for them but seeing a shadow Katara crying and Sokka trying to shake the doctor through the blurring glass, like it was a joke but when they both came back with so joke Aang stood up

"how'd it go?" Aang looked at Katara

She gestured no and cried in Aang chest which to that he hugged her tightly

Sokka looked sad, looking at the ground and after she finished hugging Aang, they went home to tell their dad the bad news and Sokka told Aang to

"give her some space" 

and so he did even though he didn't want to

Days passed without them going to school but Sokka finally come to his house in his doorstep

"how is she?" Aang leaned towards Sokka opening the door quickly 

"no good, she hasn't eaten for days, nor talked and she won't even let me in her room without screaming" Sokka said looking to the side sadly 

"oh, can i see if i can get in?" Aang said

Sokka looked at him and smiled

"let's go to my grandmother's house first" Sokka grabbed his hand and they drove to his grandmother's house, when they went there, Sokka hugged his grand mother and they sat down at her dinner table 

"Sokka and ...friend, Aang i have a gift for Katara, i believe she will never take it off" she handed them a small beautiful box 

"what is it?" Sokka observed the box

"look inside" she instructed

Aang and Sokka looked at each other and carefully opened it 

"it perfect..." Aang said closing the box and the grandmother prepared the food with the boys, Katara's favourite and got another gift with gang and after that the gang waved goodbye and drove away and Aang and Sokka waved to Gran gran

"thank you so much" Aang waved smiling 

"no problem" she smiled

Sokka hugged her and they both went in the car and drove fast to Sokka's house and he gestured him to go upstairs while he go gots some flowers to comfort her

Aang opened the door and knocked on the door, no reply 

After several knocks he opened it to see Katara hanging he was shocked and air bended making her lift up and pull her head through the hole and layed her on the ground trying to preform CPR

"KATARA?" Aang yelled doing CPR

"please...stay with me, the world can't lose you to the sky, neither can i" Aang said doing CPR

Katara caught her breath

"A-aang?" Katara asked focusing her eyes on him crying

Aang hugged her

Then quickly Aang called 911 and she was sped to the hospital and when she was fine and all checked up by the nurses, Sokka went in her room and finished yelling and talking to her in her hospital room and then when he was done, he waved her goodbye and Aang was granted access

"what were you doing back there?" Aang asked hugging her

"you wouldn't understand" Katara broke out and sat up and moved her knees up to her head looking away from Aang

"I DO Understand, your feeling unbearable rage and sadness, how do you think i felt when my parents died" Aang talked behind her

Katara turned her head and leaned in to hug him crying 

Aang saw her appearance 

"Katara give me a sec" Aang said getting the food out of the plastic bag, it was a lot of food 

He quickly and carefully got it and prepared the food and went in front of her and fed her 

"please...eat" Aang gestured for her to open her mouth to eat

Katara opened her mouth and after feeding her everything they prepared for her,  she was full

"Katara i have something for you" Aang opened another plastic bag and gave her a small box and a big one

"this one's from your gran gran and this one is from the gang and gran gran" Aang pointed

Katara nodded smiling that they did all this and opened the small box to see a necklace

"it's your mother's" Aang said looking at it seeing Katara reaction

"it's beautiful, i will never take it off" Katara put it on with Aang helping a bit 

Aang smiled and gave her the big box carefully, she opened it and saw a teddy bear

"press there" Aang gestured

Katara did press the teddy bears hand and heard her mother say

"i love you Katara, never give up"

Katara smiled and hugged it tightly and she turned to Aang and he leaned in to kiss him 

"thank you Aang, you showed me comfort and another reason to live" Katara smiled continuing to hug him
