Recap-

A few hours went by, and the party ended. I now shared a bedroom with Dorian who couldn't wait to try for children. Where, I could. I did everything in my power to stop him. Even going so far as to call on Diaval my Raven to help me. My Protector. Diaval nipped Dorian in a few places, such as hands, cheek, leg. It got the man to listen to reason.

I thanked Diaval, and sent him away before harm came to him.

"That bird, will not always be around to help you, woman."
I raised an eyebrow. "You'd threaten your Princess? Wife? That's not very smart."
"There's much you don't know, princess."

Horror filled me, dread. What will become of my Kingdom?

~*~*~*~*~

A few days into being married, I had learned from my Mother and Father that I were to be crowned Queen, too. And Dorian King. They were letting the celebrations settle down before they announced anything. I covered my face, not knowing what to think. Sure, the guy...my husband could be decent. Perhaps I could like him but never love. No, he was meant for someone else. And I had dug myself a hole that I could not crawl back out of. My intuition, my gut had bad feelings - something was off. But what? I'd no doubt find soon enough. Be that a good thing, or bad.

Hours passed, it was late in the night, dinner had just passed, the sun had gone down. I was roaming the halls. Suddenly screaming was heard. Making the castle seem scarier then it actually was.

I stopped in my tracks. 'Screaming?' My whole being was now alert. I called for Diaval. Minutes later he appeared by a closed window ahead of me, tapping it with his beak. Running, I unlatched the window feeling the cold winter air swirl around me. I asked him to find the source and report back. He flew through the halls.

Diaval and myself, have a mental, telepathic connection though he can transform into a human if he so wished it. - Which was rare.
He wasn't my only power with raven's, however. The others I needed a Ring that was taken long ago by my mother. I had used it wrongly.

Diaval soon returned, with grim news. "It came from your parents chambers, Rhiannon." He spoke clearly in my mind.
Eyes widening, Diaval on my shoulder I ran. "Thank you, Diaval."

Reaching my parents room, I saw a mess. Open window. In winter. My mother was on the bed, next to my sister's crib sobbing. Father holding one of her shoulders. It felt ice cold in here.
