I had made sure to find a dagger to keep on me at all times. Small enough for a boot or a holster on my thigh.
Sitting, looking out the window news of the coronation came much too soon for my liking. They prepared too fast. It took a week, if that. So, once more I had found myself being a human pin-cushion again a few days ago and now my former brides maids were fussing over me again. I didn't get to see them much after the wedding, but now I was a bundle of a whole new kind of nerves.
Unwanted, nerves. The same routine was applied, bathing, getting dressed, shoes, jewelry, hair.
And before long.... I was walking towards the Throne Room, with Dorian next to me arm in arm. Judy, Della, Annalise not far behind.
We entered the Throne Room, Gandalf the Grey in front ready to make us King and Queen. He was studying me I just knew. And Dorian. A brief look passed his face. What it was, I couldn't tell. We came up to the stairs, knelt and Gandalf whispered in my ear "idhren, hína." *careful, child.* I looked up at the Grey Wizard, confused. 'Careful of what?' I thought.
He then proceeded in the ceremony of crowning us.~*~*~*~
( Gandalf robes, shh it's Gandalf's robes - pretend!)
(Imagine Gandalf standing their and her parents sitting on the Thrones please 😊 )I had been crowned, now it was Dorian's turn.
Both of us facing the crowd, Loviel's citizens applauded. I was now Queen, and my mother was the Queen-Mother.
My world had changed over night it had seemed... And I had an odd sense that this wasn't the ending. It was the beginning.Feeling eyes on me, I looked towards the window to see Diaval and his bird-friends. I turned and waved now that the crowd was focused on Dorian's big speech. On how he'd make this Kingdom "rememberable."
I rolled my eyes. 'It already is. Where else would you find Human-Seers in Middle Earth?' I thought. Elves, yes. Humans? No. My siblings and I were part human, though we aged like mother. We lived as long as Dwarves if not longer. Around 300 - 400 years.Once again, party dying down I left the room, I needed space. An empty corridor would have to do. Looking outside, I saw the courtyard. And ended up in another vision...
Begin Vision -
-* An older Thorin and many dwarves were stuck in a tree, I didn't look too closely on who was with them, for I saw Thorin's scared face which broke my heart. "Azog, no it cannot be." He spoke, pushing away branches.
I silently wondered who Azog was. He seemed so broken when seeing this tall, pale Orc and his strange Warg.
The Orc gave orders, pointing at the Dwarves and most importantly Thorin. The intentions were clear... He wanted him dead.
The tree tipped. Making everyone but Thorin shout out, it made him angry. The Orcs had put his Kin in danger.
Thorin got up from the branch he was clinging on to, grabbed his shield made of...Oak? And his sword that I saw from my Rivendell Vision, Orcrist. - He ran down the tree stump, full of Anger. Hatred.
Only to get thrown down by Azog's mace, and bitten and tossed by his Warg.
He passed out, failing to reach his weapon.
Help soon arrived in that of the company Thorin was traveling with.
And of Eagles...
However, I never saw him waken. *-
End Vision -I came out of the vision panicked. 'That would take place years from now... But would he live? My fingers were pulling at my necklace. Who was that Orc? What did he do?' So many questions ran through my mind.
I continued to walk the halls, hoping to calm down. Maybe I'd run into one of my siblings...
In the back of my mind I couldn't help but think of all the duties I now held. Mother said she would help me, but I still worried. Christy would be next in line now unless I had heirs.
My fingers rung themselves. 'Heirs.' My mind thought.
"No." I whispered.
'Not with him.' I thought once more.
It disgusted me. 'Never with him.'My feet led me to our chambers, finding a coat then to the Garden. Running a finger over a just blooming rose, I smiled in memory of our adventures here, Thorin and mine. Going into the courtyard for a snowball fight, Hiding from one another, placing notes for each other to find, and then.... That day.
Mother once told me, "sometimes the right path is not the easiest one..." I whispered it to myself.
"Perhaps it happened for a reason. I can't dwell on the past anymore."
Placing the rose where we sat that day, I left saying a silent goodbye.
