I look down at my phone which has been going crazy for the last hour or so. I haven't posted on Instagram in over two years and it's crazy to see how my photo is blowing up. I forgot how crazy people used to go over my posts and since this is my return to social media, I'm not surprised that my photo is doing well.

I log out of the app before turning to look at my long time friend, Zander Anoa'i.

"It's been two years too long." Zander claps my back as we hug.

"A well needed break from the life." I wink at him and he chuckles.

"Prison does that to people." He nudges me and I let out a loud laugh as I think of the amount of times I got sent to jail.

"Yeah well, I didn't drop the soap." I take a seat at his bar and he offers me a gin which I accept.

"You wouldn't have minded." His eyes twinkle as he pours the gin into four shot glasses. "Let's not forget the night you came to my house, demanding to get some of my Samoan dick."

I groan at his words.

"Don't remind me." I grab one shot and I quickly down it. "I was high on everything."

"I know." Zander looks at me with a serious expression on his face. "Are you clean now?"

"I only smoke weed, occasionally." I do another shot before grabbing my bottle of water and downing some.

"I'm happy that you're clean." He sighs. "I hated seeing you in that washed up state."

"I know." I sip more of my water. "I hated it more but when you're addicted, shit happens. Addictions are strong but I'm ready to get my life back on track."

"But why now?" Zander asks as he downs both shots.

"For my mom." I rub my neck. "Once I became a rockstar, she only saw the bad side of me. She never got to see how hardworking I was, she only saw what the media posted. The drugs, the profanities, the sex and all the bad shit."
