Richie and Eddie had been walking for a long time, talking about home in Derry. They weren't sure where they were at this point, but they were together, and having fun.
Richie had brought up the first day they met. It was at the first day of Kindergarten. Both of them were close friends with Bill Denbrough, most known as 'Stuttering Bill'. He was also close with Stanley Uris. They all met together that day when Bill wanted them all to be friends together. Richie and Eddie got along well, and were closer than anyone. Now they were 13, and still as close as ever.
"Richie, I'm cold." Eddie complained, it was getting dark, and it was quite cold. Richie had got a blanket with him, for some reason. He gave Eddie it, and put his arms around him as they carried on walking deeper and darker into the forest.

It had been about an hour. They were both hungry. Richie asked if Eddie wanted to find a place to eat, but forgot how deep they were into the forest.
"I don't think we'll find a place to eat here, Rich." Eddie snuggled his head against Richie's neck. He was tired, too. So was Richie.
They found a place to rest against, a tree. It was  so uncomfortable, but it was really the only place they could sleep. Richie lay against the tree and rested Eddie on him. Eddie's hand rested against Richie's face, and he snuggled his head into his hand. Richie blushed, as red as a tomato. This was like a dream to him. He put the blanket over Eddie, and they both fell asleep.
