Chapter 6: Miss Teen Country

As River Rose is so excited for being part of top ten of the finals, she's working at the restaurant and she felt lucky. Byron came in to see River Rose and he sat down on a stool. Byron said, "Hey baby girl." River Rose said, "Hey sweetie pie." Carter said, "You two need to stop." River Rose grabbed the whip cream bottle and Carter said, "River, don't you dare shake that bottle and spray the whip cream like you did before." River Rose said, "Then cool it, jerk." John said, "Carter, I won't tolerate from your behavior and you need to understand that they're just friends. Trust me, I was like Byron when I said some cute sayings to your aunt and there's nothing wrong with that." Carter said, "Byron has a wife." John said, "That doesn't matter and I think you need to take a break." Carter said, "No, I'll cool it." John said, "Good. Don't let me catch you for saying that again to River or else I'll call your parents." Carter said, "I think we're good." John said, "Alright." John went back to the kitchen and River Rose put the whip cream bottle down. Byron said, "I was thinking about getting divorce." River Rose said, "Oh you are." Byron said, "Yeah and I was getting mad at Marissa for cheating on me." River Rose said, "I don't think Marissa isn't going to stay with you for long." Byron said, "Yeah and I think I'm ready to sell the house or maybe not." River Rose said, "Save that for us with our kids." Byron said, "I think that's what we wanted together and the house was meant to be for us." River Rose asked, "Wait, how?" Byron said, "I was wanting you to move in with me and I wouldn't be with Marissa. That's why I'm in love with you." River Rose asked, "How are we going to tell Jackson?" Carter said, "He's not going to like this and he will beat up Byron." Byron said, "Great." River Rose said, "Oh God." Carter said, "All you have to do is not being with Byron but you can hang out with him." River Rose said, "I already try but it doesn't work." Byron said, "It's because that we belong together not exes." Carter said, "Just try harder." River Rose said, "I can't and we love each other." Carter said, "Oh geez." Byron said, "We're sorry, Carter but we're so attached to each other and I can't leave her." Carter said, "I guess you're right and Jackson might find out about this." River Rose said, "I know and we'll try to figure it out." Carter said, "You better and he'll be coming home in October. You better figured all of this out by next month." Byron said, "We got it." River Rose is not liking this at all and neither does Byron. On Sunday, Marissa calls River Rose on Messenger for a talk and River Rose grabs her cell phone. River Rose pressed the green button and said, "Hey Marissa." Marissa said, "Hey. I just want to congratulate you for making to the top ten of the finals." River Rose said, "Thank you so much." Marissa said, "You're welcome and I think it's best that you and Byron shouldn't be hanging out anymore. I just think it's wrong for Byron to spend more time with you and I think that's why I can't get him to come home on time. I'm really sorry River and I hope you understand." Byron came to the door and he couldn't believe that Marissa is saying that to River Rose. River Rose is in tears and she tries not to cry. River Rose sobs, "Oh, I understand and believe me I do." River Rose hangs up and she starts crying her eyes. Marissa couldn't believe that River Rose hung up on her and Byron stood right there at their bedroom door as he heard the conversations. Byron felt really angry and he walks downstairs. Marissa put her cell phone down and she went downstairs. Byron is at the kitchen making coffee and he's not speaking to Marissa. Marissa said, "Hey baby." Byron said, "Hey." Byron doesn't want to look at Marissa and Marissa asked, "What's wrong baby?" Byron asked, "Why do you ask?" Marissa said, "Love, I need you to listen to me." Byron said, "I don't and you are just too jealous of River Rose for hanging out with me." Marissa asked, "How did you know about this?" Byron turns around as he looks at Marissa and said, "You didn't think I was standing by the door and heard everything from your mouth. I bet River Rose is too upset and probably won't talk to me because of you. You're the real reason why I didn't want to marry you and River Rose has to go to work today. I don't want to hear anymore of your lame excuses that you pulled today and I'll talk to River Rose." Marissa said, "Oh I get it. You just want that country girl because you love her and you didn't think that you hide everything from me." Byron said, "Listen here Marissa, I will not take down the pictures of my ex girlfriend on Facebook because it wasn't fair that I didn't get a chance to spend any months with River. The setup plan was from the mastermind Carter and I didn't want you." Marissa said, "We got back together and got married." Byron said, "Yeah well, it will be the opposite that I wanted and I'll win River's heart back." Marissa said, "Oh no you're not." Byron said, "Oh yeah then try me." Byron turns around and grabbed two plastic lids. He put them on to the two plastic Dixie cups and put them in the box. Byron grabbed the box and walks over to the counter as he grabs his keys. He opens the door and he walked out. Byron slams the door and Marissa is never going to be happy. Byron walks over to the car and he unlocks the car. He got in and he starts the car as he backs up the car. Byron drove off and he went over to River Rose's house. River Rose is getting dress for work and she knew that Byron won't stop hanging out with her. Byron stops the car as he took the keys out and he opens the door. He got out of the car and he came in to see River Rose. Byron came in to River Rose's bedroom and said, "Baby, I'm sorry for what Marissa said and I'm not going to stop hanging out with you." River Rose said, "It doesn't matter anymore, I'm not the one for anyone and I can't do this anymore." Byron said, "River Rose Marie Everdeen, I'm not going to stop loving you and I don't care what Marissa says about us. You are my first love that I ever loved and I can't lose you." River Rose said, "You really do." Byron came over to River Rose and he picks her up. Byron said, "You know I do and I love you." River Rose said, "I love you too." Byron kiss River Rose so much and River Rose couldn't let go. Byron pulls away and said, "I got coffee for you in the car and it's your favorite which is French Vanilla like mine's." River Rose said, "You're the best baby." Byron kiss River Rose's cheek and pulls away. Byron carries River Rose out of the house and he shuts the door. He opens the door for River Rose and put River Rose in the car. River Rose said, "Baby, you know that I could've walk out of the house with you." Byron said, "I think carrying you to the car is a lot more better." River Rose said, "You dork." Byron said, "I never in my life will never date a former beauty pageant and marry one. You are the perfect beauty pageant princess that I ever wanted and I hope you do win." River Rose said, "Me too sweetie pie." Byron shuts the door and he kiss River Rose so much as he quickly pulls away. He walks over to his driver side and opens the door. Byron got in to the car and shuts the door as he put the keys in as he starts the car. Byron drove off and River Rose is really happy that Byron is with her. They arrived to the restaurant and Byron parks the car as he stops. River Rose got out of the car and Byron grabbed his keys as he put it in his pocket. He grabs the box and he got out of the car. Byron said, "Hey baby." River Rose said, "Yes sweetie." Byron asked, "Can you help me?" River Rose said, "Sure sweetie." River Rose walks over to Byron and Byron asked, "Can you hold on to this box?" River Rose said, "Sure sweetie." Bryon handed River Rose the coffee box and said, "Thanks baby girl." River Rose said, "You're welcome sweetie." Byron grabbed his keys out of his pocket and he shuts the door. He locks the car and he put the keys back to his pocket. Byron grabs the box from River Rose and said, "Thanks." River Rose said, "You're welcome sweetie." Daisy opens the door and River Rose and Byron came to the door. Daisy said, "Hey guys." River Rose said, "Hey Daisy." Byron said, "Thanks so much." Daisy said, "You're welcome." Daisy let go of the door after they got in and River Rose came over to Carter. Carter asked, "Where's the straws?" River Rose said, "The straws are right in front of you." Carter looks at the straws and said, "Never mind." Byron put the box down and River Rose grabbed her coffee and so did Byron. Daisy said, "I knew you guys are too cute together." Byron said, "I'm in love with Miss Teen Country." River Rose said, "Of course you are." Byron said, "I want to marry you when you turn seventeen and I really wanted you." River Rose said, "I really wanted you too and I promise you that I will be with you." Byron said, "I know you will and I can't let that jerk Liam to hurt you like that again." River Rose said, "I'm doing my best to leave him but he already threatening me about the break up." Daisy said, "Oh no." Byron said, "That's it, I will find him." River Rose said, "I don't know if that's such a great idea to find him." Daisy asked, "What did he really say to you?" Byron said, "I want to have a fight with him." Carter said, "Just hold on, Byron. Let River explain." River Rose said, "He told me if I break up with him, he'll keep on hurting me." Carter said, "That guy has no sense to let you go." River Rose said, "I know and please help me." Carter said, "We'll help you." Byron said, "Just run away from him and I'll find you." Carter asked, "What if Liam turns off your location from your phone?" River Rose said, "I don't know and I can't do this anymore." Daisy said, "You're going have to run, River and Byron is the one for you." Byron said, "I always will be and River is mine." River Rose said, "I'll have you back and we'll have kids but not now." Byron said, "Yeah and Liam would hurt you while you're having kids." River Rose leans closer to Byron and kiss him so much. Byron couldn't let go of River Rose and after work, River Rose and Byron went home. River Rose said, "You wanna come in to the house." Byron said, "Yeah and I just want kids, you know." River Rose said, "Me too and my parents said it was fine for the both of us." Byron said, "I know and your parents regret for signing you up for abortion." River Rose said, "I know and we can have one." Byron said, "Let's go." Byron stops the car as he took the keys out and River Rose got out of the car as she shuts the door. Byron got out of the car and he shuts the door. He came over to River Rose and River Rose said, "My parents won't be home in four hours." Byron said, "Yes." River Rose said, "Oh you dork." Byron said, "Keep on saying that to me again, I will get you for that." River Rose said, "Well too bad because I was waiting for you." Byron laughs and he picks up River Rose. River Rose said, "I was looking for baby clothes at the store." Byron stops laughing and said, "I did too baby girl and my parents were ready to buy you baby clothes for our baby until abortion happened." River Rose said, "You can tell your parents that there's not going to be anymore abortion." Byron said, "That's my girl." Byron carried River Rose to the house and he shuts the door. He took River Rose upstairs to her bedroom and he shuts the door. River Rose starts kissing Byron's neck and Byron just can't let go of River Rose. Byron carries River Rose to the bed and he lays River Rose down. River Rose pulls away and said, "Baby, you're not going to tell Marissa about this." Byron said, "I'm not interest and I just can't stop thinking about you." River Rose said, "You're the only one who I can't let go and I kept crying myself to sleep because of you." Byron said, "I know babe and everything will be over once I divorce Marissa." River Rose said, "I was hoping for you to be single." Byron said, "I know and I was thinking about that. I will not let Marissa be my wife again and I wanted you as my wife." River Rose said, "You can have me." River Rose lays on the left and Byron got atop of River Rose. Byron and River Rose ended up having sex again. It took them four hours, Byron and River Rose are really happy about this. River Rose said, "Baby, I think we can make sure to do this for being as parents." Byron said, "Yeah and I think our daughter will look like you." River Rose said, "Well sexy, I can be with you and I think we'll have more children in the future." Byron said, "Yeah. I want more children and I can pretend to be drunk." River Rose said, "Baby." Byron starts laughing and River Rose said, "You dork." Byron stops laughing and said, "That's it." Byron starts making out with River Rose and the next day at school on Monday, River Rose is trying to move away from the popular crew as they pushed her down. Sarah said, "You're never going to win the beauty pageant." River Rose said, "I'm the one whose the favorite here and you didn't get in to the finals." Marceline said, "Yes she did and you are going to lose the tiara." Liam said, "Being with a beauty pageant like you is completely lame." Carter came over to Liam and punch him in the face. Byron and the gang came over to them. Sarah said, "Oh hell no." Hannah said, "River, you really need to lose the beauty pageant." Daisy said, "Leave her alone." Dylan said, "No we won't and River Rose needs to leave." Byron said, "Leave her alone." Jake said, "You don't do this to River Rose like that and you won't get passed through me." The whole school are watching them and Hans said, "You guys need to leave my ex girlfriend alone." Chase said, "No way and we don't trust you." Mr. Bell came over and asked, "What's going on here?" Lexi said, "They're picking on River Rose." Mr. Bell said, "You guys, come to my office and then, detention." Sarah said, "You stupid." Dylan said, "Dumbasses." Mr. Bell said, "Watch your language, Mr. Benson and name calling." Mr. Bell took the juniors to his office and Byron helps River Rose up. Scott asked, "Are you okay?" River Rose said, "I'm fine." Carter said, "Your junior classmates has gone bad." Jake said, "I know and they're acting like they don't want to be good leaders anymore." Byron said, "Baby, they're just jealous of you for making to the finals at the beauty pageant not Sarah." Lexi said, "Yeah and you are like the star that everyone are talking about." River Rose said, "That's all I ever wanted to be." Byron said, "Baby girl, you are meant to be a star." River Rose said, "Of course sweetie." Byron said, "Let's get out of here." Scott said, "Yeah and this is completely ridiculous from Sarah for being so rude." River Rose said, "All I'm saying is that Sarah didn't make it to the finals and she was completely scare about her talent." Byron said, "That's what I'm saying." Daisy said, "C'mon guys, we need to get to the beauty pageant." Scott said, "I'll support you girls." Jake said, "We hope one of you will win." Lexi said, "We believe it's River Rose." Carter said, "Yeah and we need a new backup for the new song." Byron said, "You can because I have to pick up Marissa and we'll be there." River Rose said, "Thanks baby." Byron said, "You're welcome my Miss Teen Country." Lexi said, "Aww." Daisy said, "Aww." They all walked out of the school and went to the beauty pageant. River Rose changed into her beauty pageant dress and she came out. Lexi said, "You always look so beautiful." Carter said, "I wish I have the girl of my dreams." Daisy said, "You're looking at her." Scott said, "So River, you're planning on breaking up with Liam." River Rose said, "Yeah and I want Byron so bad." Jake said, "Just be patient, River and Byron is going to get divorce with Marissa." River Rose said, "I know and I'm really excited." Scott said, "I'm hoping that you two will be happy together." Margaret and Frank came in to the backstage. Margaret said, "Good luck, honey." Frank said, "We hope that you do your best." River Rose said, "Thanks Mom. Thanks Dad." Margaret asked, "Where's Byron?" Carter said, "He's picking Marissa up to come here." Frank said, "I hope he comes to see you girls." Lexi said, "Me too." Scott said, "River Rose, you and Carter will sing really awesome like Byron did with you." River Rose said, "I'm really excited." Carter is now excited and Frank said, "C'mon guys, let's go get some seats." Jake said, "Good luck." Margaret said, "Do your best." Frank, Margaret, Scott, and Jake went to go find them a seat. The announcer said, "Up next is our favorite beauty pageant sweetheart River Rose Everdeen and her backup singer Carter Matlin." River Rose and Carter came on to the stage. Everybody claps for them and Beauty Coach gave Carter the guitar. Everybody stops clapping and River Rose and Carter sings "Knowing We're In Love" as Daisy loves that song. Lexi said, "That song has been a real hit like forever." Daisy said, "I love it." Everybody clapped for River Rose and Carter. The announcer said, "My oh my. That song has been a real hit for years and it's my favorite top one of my playlist years ago." Everybody stops clapping and the announcer asked, "Judges, what do you think?" Kendra said, "River, I love that song and it's one of my favorites." Samuel said, "Oh honey, the way I ever heard your beautiful voice is something to be treasured and I just can't say no to you. You are my favorite beauty pageant star and I love you." Sonny said, "I want you so much and you are our favorite. Please, don't grow up on us and you are our favorite." Theresa said, "I love you so much River Rose and you're the best beauty pageant that we ever seen." Everybody clapped for River Rose and River Rose is so happy. The announcer said, "River Rose, we all love you so much and you are like the perfect star than ever." Everyone clapped really loud for River Rose and River Rose is really excited. Everybody stops clapping and the announcer said, "Thank you River Rose and Carter." River Rose and Carter walks off stage. The announcer said, "River Rose is a true beauty and a real sweetheart." Everybody clapped and the announcer said, "Up next is Daisy Marshal." River Rose said, "Good luck Daisy." Carter said, "Good luck babe." Daisy said, "Thanks." Daisy walks on stage and Lexi said, "I better go use the bathroom. Be right back." Lexi went to the bathroom and River Rose said, "Thank you so much for being my backup, Carter." River Rose hugs Carter and Carter said, "You're welcome, River." Carter hugs River Rose and they pulled away from the hug. Carter kiss River Rose for the first time and River Rose quickly pulls away. River Rose asked, "What did we just do?" Carter said, "Shit." River Rose said, "I'm the most dumbest person to kiss you." Carter said, "River, you're not and it's me whose the dumbest person to kiss you." River Rose asked, "So, what are we going to do?" Carter said, "I don't know." River Rose said, "You want to do something." Carter picks up River Rose and said, "Maybe but you are the best beauty pageant star that everyone talks about." River Rose said, "I was meant for that." Lexi came out of the bathroom and asked, "What are you two doing?" Carter said, "I was playing with River Rose and there's nothing in between us." Lexi said, "That's good." River Rose is feeling a little sick and said, "I think I need to go to the bathroom." Carter said, "Okay baby girl." Carter put River Rose down and River Rose ran to the bathroom. River Rose went in to the first stall as she started to puke and she knew that she was going to be pregnant again. She flush the toilet and she came out of the stalls. River Rose felt really scare if Liam will hurt her while she's pregnant and she has to be careful. She came out of the bathroom and Daisy came to the backstage. Carter asked, "Are you okay, baby girl?" River Rose said, "Yeah I'm fine." Byron and Marissa came in. Byron said, "Hey Riv." River Rose said, "Hey Byron." Lexi asked, "River, are you okay?" River Rose said, "Yeah I'm fine and I must've been having a stomach bug." Daisy said, "I hope it gets better after." River Rose said, "It's already better anyways and I know that it was a tiny one." Marissa said, "Good. I hope that nobody got pregnant for this beauty pageant." River Rose said, "I wonder about that." Daisy asked, "Are you?" Byron said, "She's not." River Rose lied, "Nope." Marissa asked, "Is there something wrong?" River Rose asked, "Why do you ask?" Byron said, "Riv, you need to sit down." River Rose said, "I don't think I should." Carter said, "Riv, you don't look too good." River Rose ran back to the bathroom and she went to the stall. She starts puking again and there might be a possibility that she might be having twins. River Rose got up and she flush the toilet. She came out of the stall and saw two pregnancy tests. River Rose grabbed them and she went back to the stalls. It took River Rose for ten minutes, River Rose got up and she turns around. Both pregnancy tests came out positives and River Rose is in tears as she wipes her tears. River Rose grabbed them and she put them on the sink to spread the news later. She came out of the bathroom and Lexi asked, "Riv, are you okay?" River Rose said, "Yeah I'm fine." Marissa said, "You did look funny before." River Rose said, "Yeah well I'm not." Daisy said, "You look better now and I wonder why that the stomach bug came back." River Rose said, "Oh don't worry about it, I'm fine now." Byron knew that River Rose is acting funny but he suspected that River Rose is pregnant. Carter said, "We're glad that you're okay." River Rose said, "Me too." Byron gave River Rose a water bottle and River Rose grabs it. River Rose said, "Thanks." Byron said, "You're welcome gorgeous." Marissa said, "Enough." Daisy said, "Oh God." Lexi said, "Marissa, Byron is just saying that to River because they're just friends." River Rose opens the water bottle and she starts drinking. She was finished as she shuts the lid and put the water bottle down. Marissa said, "No they're not." Carter said, "Shut your damn mouth, Marissa. You slept with Oliver Trenton." Byron is now angry at Marissa and said, "I'm done with you, Marissa." Marissa asked, "Where the hell were you the day you were supposed to come over to my house?" Byron said, "I slept with River Rose because I love her. You don't understand me at all and I want the both of us to be separated." Marissa said, "You wanted to be the kind of guy to sleep around girls." Byron said, "You know what Marissa, I don't care what you think and I love River Rose so much. She's my best friend and I known her since we were kids. You are trying to put my River Rose down like that and I don't want to be with you anymore. I'm ready to filed for divorce and my parents already talked to the lawyer about this." Marissa said, "You love me." Byron said, "No I don't and I never wanted to marry you. I wanted to marry River Rose and River Rose is going to be with me forever after she gets away from Liam." River Rose got up and she came over to Byron as she hugs him. River Rose said, "Thank you baby." Carter is really happy for River Rose and Byron together. Byron said, "You're welcome baby girl." Byron hugs River Rose and he felt a lot more better after he revealed the truth. Lexi said, "Aww." Daisy said, "You did it." Marissa said, "You have no idea that you wanted to date a freshmen and you're an idiot." Byron said, "Marissa, River Rose has been my best friend for a very long time and I love her." River Rose said, "I love Byron and the real reason why we didn't tell you is because we're still in love." Marissa said, "You guys are the real problem here and you think you guys can hide everything from me." Byron said, "I don't care, Marissa and I don't want to be with you anymore." Marissa asked, "Is it true that you were making out with River Rose?" Byron asked, "What are you talking about?" Marissa showed Byron and River Rose the picture of them kissing from her cell phone. River Rose said, "Chloe." Daisy said, "She spied on you two." Lexi said, "Oh no." Byron said, "That doesn't." Carter said, "Chloe needs to stop and I think she's Sarah's older sister." Byron said, "I knew her in my freshmen year when she was a sophomore." Jake and Scott came over to them. Jake asked, "What the hell is going on here?" Marissa said, "Blame my husband for cheating on me." Byron said, "You're the one who cheated on me for Oliver." Scott asked, "What were you thinking?" Marissa said, "I was just helping him with his homework." Carter said, "Then, get a damn tutor and you and Oliver were all over Facebook because people are talking about you." River Rose said, "Chloe probably send you the old photo of us together when we were dating." Daisy said, "Yeah and Chloe is an idiot." Marissa said, "No it's not and this was recent." Byron said, "River is right and this is not recent at all." Marissa said, "Whatever. Just let me stay with you." Lexi said, "You're with Oliver now." Byron said, "Yeah and stay away from me." River Rose said, "I'm getting back with Byron after I'll leave Liam for good." Marissa said, "You just want Byron back for anything and you can't have him." Byron said, "Marissa, River Rose is all mine and I'm still in love with her." Marissa walks out of the beauty pageant and the gang are really happy for them together. River Rose said, "Babe, I knew that we're getting back together." Byron said, "Me too baby girl and I knew that our marriage wouldn't last." River Rose said, "I think there might be a surprise for us or I guess two." Carter is shocked and said, "Oh my God." Jake asked, "Are you thinking of twins?" Byron is shocked and said, "Baby girl, we're going to have twins." Daisy went to the bathroom an she saw the two pregnancy tests as she grabbed them. She came out of the bathroom and Scott said, "Oh my God." Daisy came over and said, "River, here's your pregnancy tests." River Rose said, "They're both positives." Byron and River Rose both hug so much and Lexi said "Yay." Carter said, "Congratulations." Scott said, "Finally." Jake said, "Congrats you two." River Rose said, "Thank you." Byron said, "Thanks guys." Daisy said, "We're so happy for you guys to start a family." River Rose said, "Baby, that's why I didn't want to say it in front of Marissa." Byron said, "I know baby girl because I knew you were going to spread the news." River Rose said, "Yeah and I'm so happy to have twins." Byron said, "Now that my daughter can have a baby brother and sister." River Rose said, "Maybe but we don't know the genders yet and I think we can wait for three months." Byron said, "Yeah and I'm so happy to be a dad again." River Rose said, "I knew we were doing this together." Byron said, "Yeah and just be careful while you're pregnant." River Rose said, "I will, sweetie." Jake said, "C'mon guys, we better take a seat to see which one of you girls is going to win." Carter said, "This will be fun." Byron said, "Good luck baby girl." River Rose said, "Thanks baby." Byron kiss River Rose so much and he quickly pulls away. Byron, Carter, Jake, and Scott went to go take their seats. The announcer said, "Ladies, come on out." River Rose, Daisy, Lexi, and the seven other girls came out to the stage. Everybody clapped for them and Byron blows a whistle at River Rose. River Rose blows Byron a kiss and Byron pretends to catch it like before. Byron smiles at River Rose and everybody stops clapping. The announcer said, "And now, the moment that we're waiting for to find our new Miss Teen Beauty Pageant. So, the winner is -" Byron, Jake, Carter, Scott, Margaret, and Frank are hoping for the result." The announcer said, "Miss Teen Country, River Rose Marie Everdeen." Everybody clapped really loud and Byron and the gang stands up. Beauty Pageant Coach gave River Rose a tiara and flowers. River Rose is really happy and the announcer said, "Miss Teen Country is the one and the real beauty." Byron stops clapping and he got on stage. He came over to River Rose and kiss River Rose so much. The announcer said, "It looks like Byron kiss our Miss Teen Country here." Daisy and Lexi are so happy for them. River Rose and Byron are so happy to be together even though River Rose won the beauty pageant. Meanwhile at the hospital, Jackson saw his older brother Byron kissing River Rose and he couldn't believe it at all. Jackson really wants to see River Rose again and have her back.
