Asking yourself, 'What if's?' is a great way to start your story. When you pay attention to your surroundings and the world around you, you should also be paying attention to the possibilities and the realities. Even when you pay attention to a book, you read or an image, ask yourself. "What if this happened instead?" or "What would this person do if..." This is the thinking that leads to exploring the mysteries of the world and creating your own fictional world.

1. You DON'T have to know how your story ends when you begin your book, you don't even have to know how it begins. In fact, not knowing every single detail about your story's plot leads you to explore more creative ideas and possibilities. It strengthens your story.

2. "What if" scenarios don't have to be practical, they can be completely fictional. You can wake up one day and ask yourself. "What if my hamster started talking to me?" or "What if Jessica kidnaps my dog? She's always fawning over him."
