Writing classes can be expensive, and I personally can't afford most of them. That doesn't mean it isn't a great way to learn about the skills of writing excellent books and stories. Find classes that focus on general writing or focuses on a particular field that interests you. You can write about anything from kid's books to articles or magazines, they're all learning experiences.
