Rowan BaileyI wake up at around ten and make my way downstairs. I stop by the stairs, seeing a slightly open room.
I make my way towards it, not really knowing about it. The room that was supposed to be my own.
The door creaks as I slowly push it open. The room had light coming from the windows with cardboard boxes all around. They were all labeled 'Agnora'; mom's name.
The room looked dusty, like no one has stepped foot here before. I get a hold of a box to open it. Seeing books, I grab one and blow the dust off it; feeling sneezy afterwards.
These weren't just books. They were journals. Mom's journals.
I head downstairs this time, without the journals.
Making my way to the kitchen to start breakfast for me and Halby, but he beat me to it, like always.
"Good morning, Miss. Rowan." his voice was happy, like always.
I smile back, "Good Morning Halby, I wanted to surprise you."
"Miss. Rowan, I already planned everything."
Halby set breakfast for both of us. We ended up chatting longer than we thought, I told him about Oliver and the other Slytherins. I told him how Lena and Blaise were doing, and all the stupid things Pansy has been saying. I even told him about Bella. Halby always knew I wasn't what everyone else thought I was like.
We then went to look at the presents under the Christmas tree. There seemed to be quite a few.
Halby drew me a picture of us doing Christmas activities with 'Merry Christmas' written in bright red ink; I hugged him and thanked him for the thoughtful gift. We always make each other Christmas gifts.
I bought some at Diagon Alley before leaving Hogwarts; I made sure to get some for everyone.
Harry sent me some sweets that were from both him and Ron; they were mostly eaten, which I wasn't too surprised with. Hermione sent me a Christmas letter with a light book all about Defence Against the Dark Arts; sad enough, I got her the same thing.
I saw a couple of crystals and rocks. One of them had Luna's name written on it; I suppose it was from her.
Lena bought me three gold necklaces; a locket, a butterfly, and a small R. They were so beautiful. She always gets me some sort of jewelry every year, with a card.
Blaise got me a bottle of whiskey that I kept wrapped, so Halby wouldn't see, and of course, he did. Blaise's mom got me some new silky and tight dresses, with more high heels. She always had the finest taste in clothes and dressed me up as her own.
Draco's parents sent me a letter with beautiful diamond earrings.
Oliver sent me a small vase with different flowers. Nate sent me a letter, same with Leo; even Pucey sent me a letter.
Draco didn't seem to get me anything.
"Miss. Rowan, received lots of gifts this year," Halby looks at everything.
I watch as he sits and plays with the rocks Luna got me, "Halby, did I give you your gift?" I pretend that I forgot, tapping my chin with my finger.
He was quick to stop and look at me, "Halby received a gift from Miss. Rowan?"
"Two actually." I stand up and grab a green wrapped gift from underneath the tree. I sit back down in front of him and hand it to him, "Merry Christmas Halby." I whisper.
