Rowan Bailey

I stayed in bed, watching Lena get ready. It was the special Anual Yule Ball day.

Instead of learning how to dance for tonight, Draco and I spent the day together yesterday. We have never been good dancers, so we decided the lesson wouldn't help as much, but it's still nice to have fun.

I remember ever since our first Anual Ball, we would always go together as a group. Now everything changed.

"What are you thinking about?" Lena smiles at me through the mirror, quickly stopping my thoughts.

I smile back, admitting, "Draco."

She adds blush to her cheeks, "Don't tell me you're having second thoughts about him."

"No, no." I shake my head, slightly smiling more at the thought of him, "I love him, of course not."

"Oh-" Lena becomes slightly surprised at the words coming out of my mouth but keeps her smile, "Have you told him that?"

I frown my eyebrows, "That I love him?"

She nods.

"I have before- but when we were never like a thing."

"You should tell him!"

I awkwardly smile, "Good one."

"I'm serious." she twists herself on the chair to look at me, "He loves you just as much, possibly more. For fuck sakes people call you husband and wife." she scoffs, getting a small laugh out of me.

I turn around, laying back on my bed. Watching the ceiling, getting a sad feeling pass by, "What about Jaden?"

"He makes me happy."

I keep my voice low, "Yeah?"

"Yeah-, and after everything that's happened to the both of us, we're still together."

I could just see Blaise laughing at jokes Lena would say, or seeing him play the Halloween game with her, or even just watching her in her Yule Ball dress. Everything Lena said, I could just see Blaise smiling at it.

As much as I feel like I ruined his chance with her, she's happy.

I want her to be happy.

"Now come on- let me do your hair."

I wait a couple of minutes before walking down the stairs. I didn't want a crowd of people looking at me, making me more nervous than I already am.

I had my brown hair straightened with small curls at the bottom, wearing diamond earrings and a necklace.

I wore a green tight, silky dress. It fitted just as perfectly as it did when we went dress shopping. It was long, making everything tighten around my waist and body. The side cut at the bottom, showing my bare leg. I love this dress.

I look out, seeing Blaise caught my eyes, "Well come on, Princess."

I roll my eyes at him before stepping out of the corner.

"Wow." Blaise watches me slowly come down the stairs, eyes looking everywhere at me, "If I were to know you would look like that, I would've asked you myself." he puts his hands out.

I take his hand, getting off the last step, with a little laugh, "I guess you never asked Luna to the ball, huh?"

He shakes his head, "She wasn't the right girl for me."

I smile, knowing what he meant, "The right girl will find her ways to you." I assured him.

"I'm not sure about that one, she's already dancing with- Jaden."

I look through the double doors, seeing a very happy Lena. She danced with Jaden like she was the happiest girl in the world. They made each other happy, which only made Blaise heartbroken inside.

She had a light blue dressed matching with Jadens tie. Her blonde hair was perfectly straightened, making her look like the prettiest girl in the room.

They made it seemed as everything was fine when in reality everyone is scared.

Scared of him.

Leo.

He stood in the back wearing a full black suit matching his painted nails. Rings in almost every finger as he held onto his drink. He catches me staring, making him nudge his head in my direction.

I look away to smile at Blaise, putting my hand on his shoulder as he watched Lena, "I found Draco, but it took time. Give her time."

"I'll still wait." he smiles, walking back into the ball.

"Blaise?" I call his name before he could leave.

He turns around at the door, hands in his pockets, "Yeah?"

"Our first night of this year, you said you would make out with Lena. Has this been going on since then?" I hold on to my arms.

He smiles at me before heading inside, "Always."

My smile drops seeing him walk into the ballroom all alone. I know he cares for Lena as much as we all do, but he loves her. Loves her more than we know.

I feel a smile come on my face, hearing that voice behind me.

Draco Malfoy

I slow down at the sight of her. She stood at the door, looking around. "Hey." I lock my hand with hers from behind.

She slowly turns around at the sound of my voice. It's like a dream. Seeing her in this dress, holding my hand, being my date. I wanted nothing else but to stay with her at this moment forever.

"You look...wow." Even the words out of my mouth couldn't add up to how beautiful she looked. She wore a green dress, already making me fall in love with her more.

She softly laughs, making me smile, "Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself, I suppose."

I scoff, knowing I'll get another laugh out of her, which I did and love to hear.

I step closer. Putting my hand around her neck, lifting her chin with my thumb, "You're so beautiful." I meet eyes with those blue eyes she has.

She smiled, only making me want to kiss her even more, which I'm glad I did. Her soft pink lips pushing onto mine, making everything feel so much more special.

I know I love her and no kiss is needed to prove it, but this; felt special.

We both smile, slowly stopping our kiss to look at each other. Blue eyes studying mine back and forth. Lips turning into a smile as she blushes pink. As much as I'm in love with you every day and every second of my life, I still can't explain how special you really are, Rowan.

"I love you." I let out, lowly; meaning it.

She doesn't need time to think about it, "I love you too." her smile already making me smile as well.

The night stayed, being perfect with the perfect girl.
