Here it is. The dreaded day of midterms. They're held on the Main Campus, even for E class. It was like a war zone, everyone was on the losing side of the battle.
"How are we gonna do this with a single knife!?" I yelled. "How are gonna tackle question 4!?" Sugino yelled and the beast that portrayed Question 4 roared as it dived for us. 'Break it down, take it one step at a time. Like Koro-Sensei said.' I thought as I smiled.
Now I was doing great, along with everyone else. The teacher couldn't believe it. But then Question 11 came up. Only Nagisa, Karma and I were left. "Where did this even Come from!?" I yelled as I dodged. "Guys? Guys!? Dammit!" I couldn't find anyone. That was only math.
The rest of the subjects were a roller coaster. Everyone was silent in the classroom, Koro-Sensei didn't even face us. "This my own fault. Clearly I underestimated the school's dedication to the status quo." Koro-Sensei finally spoke. "Forgive me if I can't bear to face you." He added.
I sighed and looked to Karma, he nodded and threw the knife at Koro-Sensei. "Have it your way." Karma said and we both stood up. "Keep your back turned if you wish. It only makes it easier for us to sneak up and kill you." I said as we walked up to the desk.
"I am in no mood you both! This whole situation has me very--?" He cut himself off as we set our papers on his desk. We both had nothing below a 90. "So what? They added a few questions to the stupid test. Big deal." Karma said as we both smiled.
"Your method worked like a charm Sensei. You gave your all and when it came down to it, it paid off." I smiled. "They added a few new bits of territory? So be it. We were ready." I added. "But don't worry, we're not going anywhere." Karma said and I nodded.
"See, this is where we belong." I said. "Normal classes cover nothing on Assassination." Karma added. "So. Where are you gonna go? Where do you belong?" Karma asked as I smiled. I was proud, even thought we lost this battle.
"You really gonna use the fact all of us didn't make the top 50 as an excuse to tuck your tail between your legs and run? Sounds like you're only scared that one of us is actually gonna kill you." I finished as I set both my hands on the desk.
"So that's it? You were scared?" Maehara asked. "You could've just told us!" Nakamura joined. Soon everyone was joined in. "I am Not running away!" Koro-Sensei yelled. "Oh really? Then what next?" I asked.
"We get our revenge on this school at finals." He said as we all laughed. "Repeat after me: Nobody puts E class in a corner!" He said and we obligated. "Nobody puts E class in a corner!" We repeated.
