Felix was the embodiment of a fantasy.
His steps through the forest where small and light, his bare feet leaving little imprints in the soil. Two lavender plants clutched carefully in his palm, brushing their heads gently along the trees bark as he went.
Peaking past his mushroom beret where two pointy elf ears, adorned with flowery earings and chains.
Today, Felix had decided to wear a dress. It was light and flowed well. Not at all disguising his delicate wings.
He continued to walk through the forest, well more like skip. He was extremly excited for today.
It was the one time a week he got to see his werewolf.
Chan was practically the opposite of Felix. He was heavy and tough, hard expression.
How on earth they got along was a mystery.
In no time Felix made it to the clearing they usually met.
He was quick to find the river, walking a good distance away from it downstream. He kept on walking until the trees got thicker and denser.
So dense he had to push through and crawl around. He knew where he was going.
A secret place only he and Chan knew of.
If you followed the river long enough, through the thick trees and down a few hills you'd find it.
A little circle of grass, no trees. The river cutting right through the centre of it. But the river was much smaller in width than further up. Felix assumed if you went long enough, you'd find it's source.
He was almost there, a couple branches left to go past.
As he stepped in he smiled instantly. Chan, like always, had beat him there. He probably ran in his wolf form.
"Channie?" Felix called stepping over a branch so he was now fully visable
"Lixie?" Chan snapped his head around so fast Felix was scared he would get whiplash
And in a blink of an eye they were together. Their hugs where always careful. Chan was terrified he'd overestimate his strength and smash Felix's wings.
"How have you been?" Felix pulled back looking into Chan's yellow eyes.
"I've been fine" Chan took his hand to sit on the grass. As soon as Felix did the grass seemed to perk up at him.
"Anything specific to tell me?" Felix looked into Chan's eyes, he seemed a little on edge. He always was when they met up like this though.
Fae and wolf where strict enemies. Have been here for centuries. Felix doesn't even remember what started the rivalry between them.
If was a funny story how channand Felix met.
years earlier...
"Felix!" Mrs Lee called as young Felix went to wonder off in the forest.
"Yeah mom?" Felix turned round, his little wings fluttering a touch as he did.
"Make sure-"
"Not to go by the river, yes yes I know" Felix finished his mother's scentance. A cheeky smile on his lips.
"Alright off with you then, scamp"
And with that Felix was skipping into the forest. He wasn't really one for flying, yes he knows it's crazy. He can fly, and isn't apposed to it. He just likes the feeling of the grass on his feet, that's a lso what lead him to hating shoes.
