Widowmaker's pov
"Hello, fellow denizens of earth."
It was Y/N. Irrecognizable, because of the hood he had pulled over his face. But his message was very recognizable.
"For many years, I have given you the chance to prove that there could be some kindness in this world. And I truly must congratulate all of you. You have failed."
It was viewable everywhere in the world. The television services were translating as they went. He and his message had gone worldwide.
"As such. I shall give this world the punishment it deserves. Eradication."
We all saw King's Row tower open up. And lifted throughout it, the Temaris project.
It was finished. In it's original direction.
Around me, people were running around. Grabbing gear. And I stood amidst the chaos. Breathless.
I felt a hand laid on my shoulder. Tracer.
"Luv... we're gonna need everyone we can get. We'll have to stop him."
"But...it's my fault. I have created this. Why would you bring me?"
She turns me to her.
"Because luv... and it is a long shot but...he stopped and changed you. We're hoping you can do it to him and bring him back."
Bring Y/N back again? I look at the screen.
"Amélie. You've been there. He must be really scared in there. He needs you."
I nod. I'm bringin you back, Y/N.
Timeskip of an hour or so.
We arrive at King's row, deciding to attack the tower from two directions.
Everyone is working together on this. Even Reaper and Soldier, seemingly hating each other to the core, are working in tandem.
I take aim and see him. He's standing atop the building, smoke building up around the nuke.
He turns straight in my direction. Looks right at me.
Several screens flip on around us.
"It would seem Overwatch has taken an interest in stopping us. I propose the world watches. As they fail. Get them!"
For a second, he seemed to split in three. Two other bodies, in the same cloak moved from his silhouette. And within seconds, they jumped off the tower, making their way towards us.
The third one stayed behind us.
Everyone made their way forward and downward. Tracer, Soldier, Reaper and Sombra, working together in unison, fought against one of them, who had now seemingly pulled out daggers. They were blue and had white lines adorning the edges, as they flashed in the combat.
Even the four of them had difficulty keeping up with this one. His agility, speed and cunning were remarkable.
The other one held out two guns as he kept some of the others at bay. This one seemed to teleport, sometimes jumping from a building's wall to another wall to then teleport again.
Reinhardt, Sigma and so many others stood against this one. But they couldn't keep up with them. A lucky hit from Mccree's flashbang was quickly undone as he teleported immediately behind him and shot at him from behind him.
I looked back at the third one. Y/N. It had to be him. He looked back at me. From under his hood I saw a devious smile form as he turned and started typing away.
I looked down and saw people falling. Not Mercy, Baptiste or anyone else was able to keep them up and fighting. We were losing.
"Amélie!"
I looked behind me. Tracer had been wounded.
I ran up to her but she held her hand out to stop me.
"Go. Save him. It's the only way we can win now."
She was attempting to stand straight. I wanted to help. I wanted to stay.
"Go!"
With that I jumped off and rappelled towards Y/N. I hoped I wasn't too late. As I scaled the building I heard noise behind me. The cloaked figure with the daggers was running up the building after me?!
I took aim, but my aim wavered like never before. Widowmaker was used to this. Not me!
As it came almost close enough to strike me, a few baster pulses hit it straight in the side as it jumped back down to fight. I looked and saw Soldier who nodded at me. He looked back and then got in the fight again.
They want me to save him. So I'm not giving up.
I landed on the rooftop and looked at the nuke. It was frightening.
"This thing can kill billions!"
Y/N had said that during his interrogation. Back then he was so adamntly against it. Not wanting to unleash it on the world.
"Persistent, I must admit."
He stood to the side of the building. His hood still on.
"Y/N...", I said weakly.
"He is gone. You've made sure of that."
He smiled at me. Sadly, not in the way that I wanted him to.
"I'm getting him back. He did the same for me. I love him."
He started laughing. "What a lie. You think he still cares? After you so clearly abandoned him? A heart can only take so much. It was only a matter of time before I would take control."
I walk forward.
"Y/N...chèrie... I know you are in there. I'm here. I've come to save you."
He ripped a piece of the fence, making a makeshift sword of it.
"Save him? As if. He's too far gone. Better say goodbye now!", he yelled as he rushed in to attack me.
My instincts kicked in. I dodged out of the way and attempted to kick him back. He grabbed my leg and threw me onto a fence. His sword came down and I rolled out of the way as it cut through the fence.
"Amélie! That nuke is about to set off really soon! Hurry up!", Tracer yelled into the earpiece she gave me.
I ran up to him, dodged his blades and laid my hand on his chest.
Your pov
"Freak!"
"Miscreant."
"No one could ever really love you!"
"We're sorry, but we have to let you go."
"You're no good, Y/N!"The voices kept yelling. Kept circling around me.
I sat against seemingly nothing, my head hidden between my knees.
This place seemed to have only darkness. No walls. No ceiling. No floor. Only darkness. It felt as if I couldn't get up. As if a sort of force was pushing me into this position.
I suddenly feel warmth. I look up and see a bright light in front of me. And there she stands.
"Amélie?"
