"Corpse?" I asked quietly, looking over at him. We were all just sitting around on our phones, streaming was over so now we were all just hanging out.
"Will you say uwu for me again?" I watched his cheeks blush as he shook his head, earning a pout on my lips.
"Please?" I did my best puppy dog eyes and waited until he sighed in defeat, "Uwu." I just giggled and thanked him, going back to my phone.
Jenna went to go make some dinner, I think she was making soup? Either way, she asked me to join, so I happily skipped to the kitchen with her, ready to talk about Corpse again.
"I think he likes you." She whispered, her voice low as I chopped the celery, I nodded, smiling to myself as I agreed.
"We both have crushes but we're nervous it'll be different in person, I guess we'll find out." I whispered back, adding the celery to the broth. I wasn't even sure what kind of soup we were making, all I know is Jenna kept instructing me to chop stuff up so I did.
The boys stayed in the living room while we cooked, we kept our voices low in case they were eavesdropping, but they did the same thing so it was alright.
"He wouldn't stop talking about you when he first got here, basically counted down the minutes." I blushed and nodded, remembering that information so I could bring it up later. I eventually sat down on a stool, continuing to chop, but now my back was turned to the boys.
"One of my friends is coming over, is that okay?" Jenna announced, looking at the both of us. Corpse looked nervous, his fingers intertwined with each other anxiously rubbing his hands.
"Sure." I agreed, Corpse looked over at me unsure, I just nodded and smiled slightly. Soon, he smiled back, agreeing that it was okay. Hopefully he got my message that I would be here whether or not she was nice or not.
I helped Jenna cook as much as I could, but I was so lazy, I didn't want to help much. I was a huuuge help, gossiping and complaining about how to chop things, I'm truly a joy in the kitchen, I already know.
*Ding Dong*
I looked over at Jenna who's hands were completely covered, so I guess I have to answer the door. I huffed and walked to the front door, opening it slightly.
"Jenna?" I heard a familiar voice, my eyes widened as I opened the door wider, looking at her fully.
"CHLOÉ?!" I gasped, her eyes full of just as much shock as mine. She quickly enveloped me in her arms, squeezing me as tight as she could, I could hardly breathe, but she felt so familiar, so homey.
"What are you doing here?!" I asked, shutting the door behind her, I dragged her by the arm through the house and to the kitchen, sitting down with her at the island.
"I just moved back! I lost all my contacts and you moved since I left, I couldn't find you!" She explained, a sorrowful look on her face. I just nodded and hugged her tight, I didn't even care that she lost touch, she was back! She was finally back!
"I met Jenna at Target, I didn't even know she knew you!" We caught up for a while, talking about all that's happened since she's been gone, I should probably explain who Chloé is.
We met in middle school and became friends, we were super close, but then high school hit and we drifted apart, we got close summer of freshman year again, but then she moved and I never heard from her again.
I figured her silence meant she didn't want to be friends anymore, I always remembered her though, school was never the same without her, it was so boring without her splash of joy.
