"Corpse!" I scolded my boyfriend, pulling him along with me, he was talking to my mom about me, I really didn't want her to know everything.
"We're just swapping stories, sweetie!" I shook my head, continuing to walk away with him as they laughed, embarrassment clear on my face.
I sat down with him on the couch, a look of admiration spread on my face, he fit so well with my mom, there wasn't even a hint of awkward in it.
I left my head on his shoulder, yawning quietly as we sat there, I was so sleepy for some reason, I'm not sure why though! I let my eyes close, hoping to just rest for a few minutes and then be energized and ready to go!
I felt my head getting moved, an angry whine leaving my throat as I was leaned onto the couch, my head landed on the soft cushion, but I still would've preferred to be cuddling with Corpse.
A soft blanket placed over me gently, I snuggled into it, letting myself fall fully asleep and actually rest.
I woke up to Corpse's arms wrapped around me, his strong arms picked me up and carried me away, I wasn't sure where we were going. I trusted him to take me there though.
I kept my eyes closed, hoping to keep sleeping while we were in the car. I heard a quiet, "I'm sorry." Before I woke up, pain rushed through my body as I looked around, I was upside down.
I looked around for Corpse, finding him lifeless beside me, his hand still holding mine, but his grip was gone.
"Emma you can't just kill him off! Why do you kill everyone off!" I asked, pulling her out of her story, she was telling me how she expects my life to go, but she's killing everyone off!
"First you killed off yourself, you made Chloé leave and then come back, now Corpse is dying?" I asked, a giggle leaving her mouth as we sat there, she just shrugged, leaving me frustrated.
"Are you trying to say I'm just never going to be happy?" The conversation had turned serious, the look in her eyes shifting as she looked at me.
"You were happy before this happened, you were happy after. Bad things happen and you were still happy because of other reasons." I rolled my eyes at her prophetic reasoning for killing everyone off in my supposed "life story"
"I don't want to lose everyone I love, why are you making that?" She didn't have an answer, she was just telling a story. Just giving me a chance to think about how my life would pan out, something I hadn't thought about.
"I killed off the most important people to you, so you know you could be happy if one of us died. That you would be happy again." I shook my head, looking at her confused, but my eyes held fear.
"Why? Why do I need to learn that? Where are you going?" I asked frantically, my hands finding hers. She just gripped me tightly, a small smile on her face.
"I'm not going anywhere, Syd. Never going anywhere without you." The moment stuck for a while, my uncertainty definitely held as well. I frowned as she pulled her hands away, keeping them at her sides now.
I asked her some more questions about the story, why Corpse had to get killed off, why I had to watch him die, she didn't have the answers to a lot of them. To be fair, she was just making up a story as she went along.
