Rouge finds an old camera which was made a few years before ARK was built. She then gives it to Shadow and they never realized that they would be see years of amazing memories!

That last video literally showed the day I lost Maria. I never noticed she had the camera with her that time. I assume the recordings are done, right? I got up and headed towards the stairs.
"Where are you going?" Omega asked me.
"To my room. The recordings are done." I replied.
"There's still one last recording in here." Rouge said, holding the camera. I stopped in my tracks and widened my eyes.
Impossible.
She died after that. There is no way a video could've been recorded, right?
"You have to also open her box, too." Rouge added. I nodded and sat back down on the couch as Rouge put the last recording on and sat next to me.
*screen shows Maria standing with her injured legs*
Maria: Hey Shadow. I know you may be wondering how I'm still recording this, since I'm supposed to be dead. Well, first off, I can still see you from here.
*takes camera and zooms in to show Shadow in the tube.

Maria: It's going to take you a little while to get to Earth; ARK is really high up.
*puts camera back down on the table*
Maria: Second, I'm in another room with more escape pods. After I launched you out to Earth, I pretended I was dead in front of the G.U.N. agents so I could make this last recording for you With Earth's view behind me. My legs are fine, it just hurts a little.
