I ran across the rooftop, Percy right next to me. How could we have been so reckless? Annabeth was running up the stairs, I knew we didn't have enough time.

"Jump on three?" I asked when me and Percy skidded to a stop, staring down on the rooftop. Percy nodded, "three,"

The footsteps got louder as Percy continued. "Two,"

"One!" The two of us jumped off of the roof right as Annabeth got to the roof. Percy and I hid behind a dumpster, silent as we could.

"That was too close," Percy whispered.

I only nodded, though I was scared to death that we would be found out. Three buzzes went off in my pocket and I immediately knew what they meant.

"Let's go get our suit. I think Shifters on the move," I said.

Percy nodded. "Let's go. It can't be long before Secret gets there too. Grovers already at OLYMPUS, we can set up coms,"

"Haze won't be there, she was out in the city today and took the day off," I informed him.

Percy elbowed me annoyingly, "You sad you won't get to see your cruuuuuush?"

"Shut up," I glared. "Besides, she's with Frank. You know that. Let's just go get the villains. Don't pick up your phone this time,"

After a glare, the two of us left to Olympus. We changed into our costumes and raced through the city until we were standing face to face with Shifter and Secret.

"Ash, 'Tide," Secret nodded curtly.

"Don't call me that," Percy glared. Then the fight started.

Shifter turned into a bull and charged at me, knocking me into a truck. I burned him enough that he turned back to human, but I was still bleeding against the car.

"Time to die, Ash," Shifter said before turning into a ostrich to kill me.

"No!" Was all I heard before hazel was in front of me with her arms out to protect me. "Don't hurt him! Please,"

"Haze," I choked out. "Don't do it,"
