Chapter 2

When I entered the school, I made my way to the principal office for him to give me a locker. I had to ask a girl for her to show me the office of the principal because I was new in the school. I finally made it to the principal office. I knocked on his door.

"Yes, come in"

Someone said from from inside the office, I guess it was the principal's voice. I opened the knob of his door and entered the office. I saw a man in his early 60's seated in front of the table engrossed in some documents in front of him. He didn't even raise his head to see who was in his office. I looked at the name in front of his desk that read 'Principal Williams Smith'

"Good morning sir"
I greeted him

"Good morning how may I help you"

Sir Williams said this without looking up

"Sir , I'm a transferred student , I came to your office to get  my locker " I said this in a polite manner. His attention snapped at me when I said I was a transferred student.

"What is your name" he said

"Sir am McKenzie Hills" 

with this he nodded his head and punched some digits on a phone , within some few seconds a woman in her late 30's entered the office.

"Good morning sir"
She greeted just as I did when I entered the office.

"Good morning  Mrs. Kathy ,show Miss Hills her locker"
The principal said to the woman

"Okay sir,follow me"

She said referring to me. I followed her out of the office. She seemed really nice because she spoke to me in a very sweet tone, I followed her to the school's hall way in silence

"Here , this is your locker and this are your keys"

She said pointing on a locker close to the exit of the hall way. I took the keys from her

"Thank you" I said

"Welcome, and If  by any chance you need something, come to me in the school's library okay." She said

"Yes Mrs. Kathy" I  responded .

"Okay then, I'll be leaving now, have a nice day" With this she left. I opened my locker and packed the books I won't be needing for now inside. The bell rang for our first lesson, I started looking for biology class because that was my first class on the timetable I was given by Mrs. Kathy. I finally found my class, I  entered the class and made my way to the seat at the far end of the class. Some students were staring at me while I made my way to my seat and some were busily chatting. The moment the teacher entered the class, all movement and chatting sized. I guess the Man was very strict because of the way the students reacted when he entered the class. I took my biology book from my backpack and we started the lesson, soon it was time for the next lesson and it was business class. I managed to find the business class . I opened the door knob of the class only to be met with a familiar silver eyes.

Seems, I cannot get away from him.

Clara's POV

Thank goodness that seniors don't introduce themselves in this school, I hate those as hell.
So am in my final year, and as you know, being in your final year is really exhausting, cuz you will have to study nonstop as though you've got no head. I sometimes imagine if we are some kind of machine or something.
Me , Elnora and the rest of the class are busily solving past questions now, the teachers think, solving those will make you be familiar with the final exams.
Am really thankful that the seniors block is being separated from that of the juniors , no party will know what's happening in the other, cool right?,.
"Clara!, help me with this", Elnora gave me her text book.
"What should I do with this, am busy ok!"I asked her confused.
"Oh come on, I just need you to dictate the words for me!, it won't take long, I promise" Elnora pouted her lips, I just can't say no to this girl, I don't know if its because of her baby blue eyes.
"Fine!!", I gave up and helped her with her English self made test.
Soon we closed from school, and I think my naughty young sis hasn't closed from school yet, so I will head home first with Elnora, because I can't wait for her to close, the teachers closed us earlier than normal because they want us to take a good rest and prepare for the exam cuz its just at the corner.
"Let's go Clara!, Steve is waiting for ya!", Elnora began to tease me. Actually , I have a slight crush on Steve , who wouldn't like a guy like him, I mean he is cool , fun to be with , he always cracks jokes and he has this cute dimples ,only Nora knows that I have a crush on him.
"Shut up!"I whispered to her.
"Its not that he came to school today!"
Oh yeah that reminds me, why did he skip school today, Imma asked him tomorrow , the thing is , Nora and Steve were my classmates in my old school , Steve transferred here when we were going to our second year and Nora also transferred in our second semester,I was beyond happy when I heard we will be going to this school.
I will get the chance and strengthen my relationship with Steve cuz I couldn't master the courage to do so back then.

" stop it!!, what if someone hears you" I tried to make her understand.
"Fine!! , let's go" Nora gave up the teasing and we headed to our homes.

" Am home!!", I announced.
"Clara you are home!", my parents chorused.
"Why!, don't you want me here mom and dad!", I pretended am hurt.
"Oh its not that, we were just surprised, go and freshen up" my mum commanded.

"Ok fine, I'll be in my room".

Urgh!, how I wished I had Steve's number.
