Yesterday evening, I decided to train with Asmodeus since he asked me to. He's quite skilled though, but Camelia's skills were better. I already told him that we don't need to train, but he's too stubborn. He's curious about my ability, so he asked me to train with him. And now, I'm tired.
The swordsmanship students are gathering in the field right now. As the novel said, the second exam is a hunting competition. And it seemed like most of the students aren't that happy about it. This kind of hunting ain't that easy, we need to find a magical creature.
"Camelia, what kind of animal will you hunt for?" Maverick asked me
"I'm going to catch a Meridius," I said
"What? isn't that supposed to be Apollo's?"
"I'm going to be the best hunter this year"
"You really are crazy"
A Meridius is a big magical creature that is rare to find. In the novel, Apollo was the best student because of it, and he also got extra points. He caught the Meridius in the west of the forest, and he didn't know that it was a Meridius. He thought that it was just an ordinary magical creature. If I can take his place, I will get extra points and gain a reputation.
"Okay students, we're going to start the hunting competition. Rule number one, don't steal or cheat from others. Rule number 2, you have to catch a big creature and an uncommon one to get a high score. Also, you can go anywhere as long as it's inside the forest. And that's it, you can start hunting from now. Damian then appeared out from my necklace.
"Yes, Camelia, you need a hand?" Damian asked
"Can you sense a magical creature?"
"I can sense something strong near here, but I think this thing will be a dangerous one"
"You know what is it?"
"It's Kazarta"
"Kaza what?"
"A Kazarta is one of the most dangerous magical creatures out there. It has sharp teeth and also rough scales. It's hard to kill them since they have thick skin. But if you wanted to kill them, you have to target its eye. After the eyes, you have to slice its head. And never slice any of its feet, because they'll regrant to be longer than before"
"But I'm going to catch a Meridius, so which one should I kill?" I asked Damian
"Kazarta, that monster will definitely increase your points on this exam," he answered
"Okay then, be prepared, Damian"
"Okay, let's hunt this hideous creature"
As Damian said, Kazarta was a huge and hideous creature. This creature looked like the Mind Flyer from Stranger Things, but this time it's a real one. I think the author of this novel really likes watching Stranger Things. This is crazy, how am I supposed to kill this kind of creature?
"Damian, are you sure about this? can we kill it?"
"Just use your mana"
I do as Damian said, I feel like something flowing inside my body and it feels quite weird. I took the sword and stab Kazarta's stomach, but it doesn't affect anything. The Kazarta starting to get mad at me, I jumped up into its head and stab it. Since I've watched Stranger Things, I know that a monster's brain is quite a sensitive one.
"Damian use your power"
"I'm trying, this is quite harder than I thought"
After a while, we killed the Kazarta. This creature was harder to kill and it needs a lot of mana. That's why I'm so exhausted, I need to go back to the academy. But I don't know how to bring back this creature.
"Damian, how do I bring back this creature?"
"You need to pull it, duh"
"What the hell? this is crazy"
"Weren't you planning on getting extra points?"
"Yeah you're right, I need to work hard"
I ended up pulling the Kazarta with the least strength that I had. I feel like I'm a wrestler who pulled her enemy out of the ring. The Kazarta was so heavy, I feel like I'm dying. It took hours to go back to the academy, so I need to be patient.
