Don't mess with fire

Part 3, Chapter 1 (Lars)

Hey! Its your friend Lars, Cal decided I should write this chapter as well seeing as, well, she was unconscious, again...

Anyway, where were we.

Cal didn't like Peleus, can't say I was surprised, but I at least expected her to scream before falling face first to the ground.

When I couldn't wake her up I dragged her over my shoulder and carried her down the hill towards home.

Will and Nico were by the big house, as usual, and saw me hobbling over. (Yes Cal, you are actually quite heavy). 

"Who the Hades is that?" Nico said, whilst Will came over and took some of the load.

"Demi-God, quite old, surprised she's made it this long."

"Well she won't make it much longer if we don't get her to the infirmary, Nico, run ahead and get a bed ready". Will was a different person when someone was ill. Nico obeyed and ran ahead while Will grilled me for answers.

"Any idea on Parent?"."Why'd she pass out?"."Any monsters?". Very routine stuff to ask but I had no answers for him.

We reached the infirmary and put her down on a bed by a window, looking out onto the lake.

Nico grabbed a blanket and came to put it on Cal but as soon as he came within a foot of her he dropped the blanket, face drained of any colour.

"She- she's dead". He looked like he was about to faint, Will ran to hold him.

"What!" I screamed, rushing to her side. I checked for a pulse, she had one.

"Hey! Death Boy! I can tell if one of my patients is dead you know, its called having a heart beat." Will sounded annoyed but it looking at the way he was holding Nico one could easily tell he was just worried. Nico had a nack for dissolving into shadows when he got upset, I think you would be stressed if that was your boyfriend too.

Nico took a few breaths, getting some of the colour back into his face. "Okay" he said, his voice sounded weak. "I'm just saying, this one has an odd energy and, well, after Hazel.." His voice trailed off. Will held him tighter.

"Please, just let me do my job okay? If she's dead I'll be sure to let you know, Ok?" That got a little laugh out of the son of Hades and Will stroked his hair.

By this point I was certain they had actually forgotten our reason for being there.

"Hey!" I shouted, ruining their moment, I had other times to feel bad about that."Could you two stop falling in love for a second and help her?" Again, probably harsh of me. Whoops.

Will stood up, letting Nico sink onto the chair he was sat in.

"Ok, ok lemme check her.." He came over and started checking her pulse and various other things. Her face flinched. Will smiled at me. "Hey look, she's responsive, that's good!" 

I hmphed in reply settling down in the chair next to Cal.

Will studied me. "You should get some sleep" he said, " Chiron's gonna need you in good shape when she wakes up." 

I didn't need telling twice.

Yeah there wasn't much point in this chapter, I just wanted some Solangelo :)
