The night was loud and young. It was cheerful and joyous. The music was as loud as thunder; it made the cutlery on the tabletops rattle. Neon lights flashed everywhere like police sirens, but much more colourful. Students were getting through the way which lead them to the clangorous and ear spiltting chamber. The sound of screaming with joy and feet disturbing the ground was heard. The bodies moved together as they celebrated, rhythmically breaking into shapes and colours.

Sidharth made himself comfortable at the end of the noisy arena and near the cold drinks. The sound was loud to ripple the drinks in the glasses. Anish and Rahul were late and Sheena had just arrived. She waved at Sidharth as she saw playing with his glass.

"Hi Sidharth, OMG I must say, you have it in you to charm everyone around with just one look and your smile is a stroke of luck for the eyes" she spoke in flirting way, but was genuinely saying it. Sidharth laughed at it and retaliated with a smirk "You have got a superb taste, I must agree"

"Han han sure"

He was talking to her when he felt choked by Anish, as he literally pounced on him and hugged him tight making it difficult for him to breathe.

"Hayee mera jigri yaar, maine tujhe kitna miss kiya aaj", the overdramatic Anish was active today which was not a good news at all.

"Abbey main aisa nahi hun, door hat", and Sidharth pushed him off of himself making him groan.

"Aisa hi hota jab ladki mil jaati hai tab dost ko kon yaad rakhta hai", Anish screamed, but due to the loud music it was only audible to Sheena and Sidharth.

"Abey nautanki bas kar jaa, ho gaya aaj ka", Sheena rebuked softly to which Anish hugged her saying that only she was a true friend, and Sidharth rolled his eyes at it.

"Rahul kaha hai?"

"Mujhe kya pata"

"yaar Sidharth tujhe kiske baare mein pata hota hai yeh bata"

"Bakwaas mat kar, phone kar ke pooch le"

"Are rehne de aa gaya", Sheena stopped Anish from calling when she saw Rahul advancing towards them.

"Kya baat hai aaj tu bada tip-top hoke aaya hai", Sheena teased him as soon as he reached them.

"Hoga kyun nahi, aaj bhai, meri Bhabhi ko propse karne waala hai", Rahul answered smiling sheepishly.

"Kon?"

"Are wahi yaar canteen waali"

"Ohhhhh..Wohhhhhhh"

"Han yaar wahi waise naam kya hai uska" Anish asked and in a blink of eye Sidharth replied with a smile "Sana"

Sheena was now certain about her doubts that she had that day. The way he just took the name, and the smile made her believe that her heart didn't belonged here. Smiling, she continued teasing Rahul.

"Yaar bas karo..abhi pata na.." and Rahul was agape, words were difficult to be formed. His eyes stayed froze at his abrupt silence. Everyone was confused, and turned their heads to see what left him open mouthed.

Sidharth forget to breathe at the beauty he saw. Was she even real, was all he can think. The woman that walked in could have graced any billboard or magazine cover, but she was better than those two dimensional photoshopped models. Somehow her imperfections made her perfect. There was a shyness to her, hesitation in her body movements and a softness in her voice. She had a kind of understated beauty, perhaps it was because she was so disarmingly unaware of her prettiness. Her ivory skin was completely flawless. She was all about simplicity, making things easy, helping those around her to relax and be happy with what they have. Perhaps that is why her skin glowed so, it was her inner beauty that lit her eyes and softened her features. When she smiled and laughed you couldn't help but smile along too, even if it was just on the inside. The black dress on pinkish baby skin was complimenting and it would not be wrong to say that she made the dress look worth millions. The makeup free face was more beautiful than caked up faces of other. The red lip colour was highlighting her perfect lips so beautifully. Sidharth was not sure what made her cheeks so pink- a blusher or a blush.

"Bas kar bhai usme na ched ho jaaenge, jaise tu dekh raha hai or muh band kar warna makhiyan chali jaaegi" Anish's word brought Rahul back from his trance but still Sidharth was still lost in the smile which embellished her gleaming features. Sheena saw him lost, in her and she turned her head to Rahul and Anish's bickering.

"Welcome, welcome ,welcome, to the freshers party. The night is all about you, make it yours. Have a lot of fun, break the dance floor, show your moves and rock the party. Come on everyone make you presence felt. Boyssssss, you got your girls. Shake some leg and break some", and the hall again erupted in incoherent talks and loud music.

Sana roamed her eyes to find the peace of her eyes. She was restless and very nervous, restless because she didn't see Sidharth and nervous because of a lot of unwanted eyes on her. Ignoring the undesired eyes, she looked for the eyes she desired for, to look at her and bless her with their glimpse.

"Woh dekh Rahul", Riya pointed in the direction and Shreya shied away. Sana also turned her eyes and there he was all decked up in black. Black was his color, she concluded. She saw all and for a change Sheena's presence didn't make her feel uneasy as it always did. She was tadofying him with all the haq she assumed she have, and as if he got the cue he too turned in her direction. She clenched her fists tightly, until her nails dig into the palm of her hand, but she barely noticed. The only thing she was really aware of, was the sound of her heart throbbing against the cage of her chest. It seemed louder than rhythmic sound outside. She was nervous and anxious. She somehow wanted him to approve her. He never said that she needed his approval but she felt it that his approval is the last touch to her groomed self. He was still stuck on those eyes, which clearly exhibited nervousness and the way her fingres fidgeted was a prove to it. She was so nervous and was to bite on her nails but stopped when he blinked his eyes and smiled at her. Her heart at once was at peace and she found herself gaining her confidence. She smiled and hit her head, for acting so foolish. Sidharth just chuckled at act and continued his talk with his friends which were planning on how to tell Sana, Rahul's feeling.

The words were never the means of communication between them, their eyes did the work. His smile was answer to all her question and her eyes were the result of all his exploration. Their souls were always conversational that their lips didn't find the need to form words for all the things that were already exchanged.

I'm convinced my heart knew who it belonged to, long before I met.
