End Authors Note -
Then I walk upto the escalator. I go down it with my luggage and see... Dad!
He's holding a sign that says "My beautiful daughter Natalie."
I run up to him, we hug for what felt like hours.
"How's it going Nat? Gosh I've missed you!" Dad says
"I'm great, I missed you too!" I reply
"That's good, I have a surprise for you at home!" Dad says
"Really? I'm excited to see it!"
"It's not really an it Nat... "It's " more of a 'who'" dad says
"Oh.. Am I meeting Diana?"
"I don't know, you'll just have to wait until we get home." Dad says then winks
I know it's Diana. I mean what's else could it be? I mean who else could it be?...
We head off to the car. A black Escalade!
"Dad. Whoa you upgraded big time."
"Yep, it fits the fam comfortably." Dad says
"What do you mean ' it fits the fam comfortably'?" I say
"Oh you'll see..." Dad says
After a while dad sparks up a conversation
"Are you hungry?" Dad asks
"Yeah it's been hours since I've ate..."
"Well good because lunch is waiting at home. How's your mother?" Dad asks
"She's doing well, I still need to remind her to eat and sleep every now and then. She forgets because she's always caught up in her art work." I reply
"Yep Rose always loved her art work. Before you came along I would remind too."
"Doesn't surprise me... Speaking of mom I forgot to call her after my plane landed." I say
I pull out my phone and dial her number...
'Hello? Nat?" Mom says
"Hey mom it's me. I just wanted to say my plane landed earlier and now dad and I are on our way home." I say
"Well that's good! Remember to call me every now and then. Oh and report back to me about Diana." Mom says
"Ok mother I will. Remember to eat and sleep. Don't stay up too late in the studio."
"Ok honey I love you." Mom says
"I love you too mom. Bye" I say
"Bye honey." Mom says. I hang up the phone.
We finally drive into the driveway. Of a big white two story house. There's a garden now along the front of the house. I see three other cars in the drive other than dads. We walk up the stairs and into the house.
"I'm back." Dad says
"In here honey." I voice of a woman replies.
We walk into the kitchen to see a woman standing there. She has brown hair and kind brown eyes. A bright smile, she wipes her hands off on a towel.
"Hey honey." She says as she hugs my dad. Giving him a kiss on the cheek. My dad smiles, he looks so happy for once.
"And you must be Natalie. Mark has told me so much about you. I'm Diana" She walks up to me
