Needing Answers

Matthew was taking in the sight of the deer before him. The red sheen off his coat, well kept and short haired, leaving nothing about his form hidden, all dressed up in tailored cherryton uniform trousers around his slim waist, the famous green blazer over his white shirt and sharp black tie that fell straight from his slender neck, meeting his strong jawline leading to his huge, captivating amber eyes. Holy shit...

"You're staring" Louis pointed out, giving a look to Matthew "Oh sorry!" Matthew expected Louis to hit back with some sarcastic remark but Louis seemed unbothered "I'm guessing you're the new student that principal Gon informed me about this morning, unless I somehow didn't notice another giant wolf stalking the halls with Legoshi, Matthew isn't it?" Legoshi's ears and tail dropped at the remark, as did his stature. Matthew forgot that Louis had such an impact on Legoshi's happiness, while it was great duality of characters in the show, he didn't like it all seeing it first-hand. The urge to growl and snap was quickly overtaking his body but remembered what Legoshi said. Just hold it in, hold it in, hold it fucking in...

He managed not to growl which he felt was a win but decided that himself and Legoshi should get moving "Well that would be me yeah but anyways while I'd love to talk to you about that, me and Legoshi have to run" He managed to keep his tone casual although not without difficulty. Louis felt a pang in his chest but tried to ignore it for the moment "Well just before you go, come see me later in my office at five to discuss your role in the drama club" Legoshi appeared to be just as taken aback as Matthew "So I'm in the drama club? Awesome! I'll see you then. Bye now!" With that, Matthew tugged on Legoshi and both left the canteen in a hurry.

As Louis made his way over to the food counter to order his usual fruit salad and side of celery for the day he thought about what just happened. Did I really just feel rejection? Why did Legoshi go with him? Why didn't he protest and stay to talk to me? Who does that wolf think he is? Why do I care!? He grabbed his food and gave fake pleasantries to students as he walked to the doors leading outside. He thought it was better to take the long way around to avoid the wolves, he didn't like that one had such a hold over him but paradoxically hated that the other was taking him away. He let out a frustrated sigh. I need to see Haru...

The high pitched screech followed by the deep metallic thud of the heavy roof door made Matthew wince and yelp "Fuck me!" "S-Sorry! Its not used much" Legoshi explained as he stepped onto the roof "It's all good, just a little warning next time haha" Matthew followed him out, opting not to close the door behind him to avoid the dreadful noise. Legoshi made his way to the shallow end of the empty pool and walked down towards the deep end before sitting down and unwrapping his sandwiches "A-Are you coming?"

Matthew was taking in the view all around him "Yeah! Sorry I'm just taking a look at everything" before Matthew could walk down, Legoshi was making his way back up "We can sit here i-if you want to" He sat at the edge of the pool, just above where he was a moment before. Matthew joined him, happy he could still see his new world. The tiny stars of the sun reflecting off the millions of windows in the city, the bright sheen of the early day rippling throughout the clean clear water that surrounded the school. His moment of awe didn't last long before he realised what seeing all this actually meant and couldn't stop his body giving him away.

Legoshi noticed and put his sandwich down "H-hey, are you okay? You haven't started eating a-and you were so hungry just a minute ago" Matthew looked at him and thats when Legoshi noticed the tears welling in his eyes. I was wrong to think that he was coping with this already. Matthew burst into sobs and stutters "I-I I'm sorry Legoshi, its just so... argh I'm just so fucking confused a-and I'm so far from home, I don't know whats going on with my family or friends, if I'll ever see them again and th-they're probably fucking worried sick!" Legoshi felt like crying with him, to see him so hurt and cry like that broke him. He needs me to be strong right now, I can't make it worse for him. He put an arm around his back and rested his head on his shoulder. This worked for him earlier, I just hope it helps again.
