" Avi, meet me at the coffee shop with Kiran after work." Samaira said to Avinash over the phone. Just as she ended the call her mom called her from downstairs.
" Sam, are you going to come to the hospital to meet auntie?" Ma asked.
" I will go with Di some other day... I am going out to meet Avinash and Kiran." She replied before walking out the door so her mom doesn't yell for not informing. Avinash and Samaira have been friends since they were literal babies, but Kiran joined their friend group in 8th grade after she moved from Canada.
" Ok Beta, can you drop your sister at the restaurant to meet Abhi." her mom yelled from the kitchen.
" Fine! Tell her to be down in 2 minutes or I am leaving." she replied sitting back down with a grunt.
Meghana was taking her time getting ready which made Samaira even more impatient.
" How long will you take? Even a turtle can get ready faster than you. What is taking you so long?" she said, barging in tired of waiting.
" I don't know what to wear." her sister groaned back. She walked over and started shuffling through her sisters clothes.
" You have so many clothes! Just wear something and come fast!" Samaira said as she walked out. She waited in the car for Meghana who came out wearing a black long sleeved skater dress.
" Took you long enough," Samaira said starting the car, while Meghana rolled her eyes.
" So Di, are you excited to meet your dream boy?" Samaira smirked while driving.
" Shut up! Not as excited as you will be when you meet Vihaan." her sister said back, attempting to push her buttons.
" I haven't met Vihaan right. You must have been waiting for so long to meet you Rajakumar (prince)." She shot back raising her eyebrows.
"Shut up Sam." her sister said rolling her eyes while she laughed.
The rest of the ride they sat quietly listening to the song. Half way through their favorite song the car reached the restaurant.
After her sister got down Samaira sped away to Preet's cafe. The regular meeting spot for the terrific trio. Samaira parked her car at her usual spot. As she walked out she spotted Avinash and Kiran.
" Hi guys" she smiled and hugged both of them. The group walked inside and spotted an open table. They sat down and Samaira dropped the bomb. She narrated the events from the previous day. From what happened with Vihaan to her parents and their request.
"WOAH!?" Kiran and Avi both said at the same time. " So what are you going to do?" Avi asked, curious.
" What am I going to do?' Samaira scoffed. " I am going to meet him and tell Ma and Papa that I don't like him... Simple" She shrugged, stirring her coffee and taking a sip.
" Samaira... Actually consider the proposal." Kiran said looking at her friend.
" Kiran... After the way he spoke to me, why would I consider him? God if I ever have to marry him I would have to endure all his sadism. " She replied, furrowing her brows and wrinkling her nose.
" Guys, can we order something please? I am famished." Kiran quickly diverted the topic.
" Me too, let's eat." Samaira joined.
" Wait, my cousin is coming from India and he will join us. Wait for him to come." Avinash said.
" Your cousin is super late and has no punctuality. I am hungry." Samaira whined, Kiran nodded her head.
