All the Chauhans sat in the hospital tired and worried.

"Sir, you can go in one by one; the patient woke up." The nurse said to the three men.

Vihaan nodded and convinced his father to go in first. His mother Sharmila has had pancreatic cancer for a while now, but today they found out that they will have to do chemo, but things are very unsure.

Inside...

"Suraj, did you talk to the Auroras about coming to dinner tonight?" Sharmila  asked, avoiding eye contact with her husband.

"I haven't talked to them yet... Sharmila, it's not good for you to leave the hospital. Please, lets just meet them after your chemo. " Suraj said, putting his hand on top of his wife's. Roshini  removes her hand underneath Suraj's and turns away.

" You can stop acting as if you care! The kids aren't here."

"Sharmila..... We need to get over what happened and move on. All these years, the kids have no idea..." Suraj was interrupted by Sharmila.

"Yeah, because I hide it from them!" She yelled, getting a strange look from the nurse changing her IV.

"I alway treated you like a queen! You are the one who is not happy with anything "Suraj shouted.

"You cheated on me! How can you possibly explain yourself? People like you will burn in hell!" Suraj got angry with the words his wife just delivered and stormed out of the room, leaving Sharmila in tears.

"Vihaan and Abhi Beta, you both go together," Suraj said, closing the door behind him.

"But Dad, they said one by one." Vihaan reminded his father.

"It will be fine to go in your mother wants to talk to you." Suraj bitterly replied.

The brothers hesitantly went inside.

"Hey Mom, How are you doing," Abhi asked, holding his mother's hand smiling.

"I am doing good, Beta. I wanted to talk to you both about something." Sharmila weakly spoke. The joyful woman she was two years ago is nowhere to be seen. The twinkle in her eyes, the radiant smile on her face, and the glow she had are all missing. She looks enervated and lifeless now.

"Mum, please don't strain yourself right now. We can talk about this tomorrow,  just take some rest." Vihaan expressed his concern.  Her youngest son Vihaan resembles her a lot. With his sharp, expressive deepest chestnut-colored eyes and beige skin.

"No, I want to talk about it today. Me and your dad invited our friends Raghav and Sharmila for dinner at our house tonight. They have two beautiful girls, Meghana and Samaira. Abhi, you remember Meghana, Sharmila Aunty, and Raghav uncle right?  " Sharmila said.

" Yeah Mom" He said with no interest in the conversation.

" So... We were thinking about asking them if they would be interested in a marriage proposal from our side." His mom explained.

"Mom, we can think about it later. Let's first let you get better, then we can find you daughter in laws."Abhi consoled.

"Abhi, I want to go into chemo after seeing both of you find someone. I would like you to marry Meghana and Vihaan to marry Samaira." Sharmila said hopefully.

"Ma..." Abhi sighed.

" You know Meghana and I never got along. Why don't we get Vihaan married?"

"What! If you don't get married I won't either. "Vihaan shot back.

"Abhi that was when you were younger. Now she is a beautiful mature girl. Vihaan Beta, Samaira is a very nice girl she is just like you. Don't say no before giving it a chance. I don't want to start chemo without seeing you both settle down. You trust your mom right?" Sharmila stated.
