You're so Annoying (Kuroken Fanfic)

Chapter 3

When they woke up, they were already excited to see each other and the classes that they had before they could see each other felt like a lifetime.

Kuroo was sitting through chemistry, spacing out thinking about Kenma because he knew what was being taught anyways. He was daydreaming about how him and Kenma would hang out later and he could finally show all the affection that he had wanted to for so long.

Kenma was in his Python class, thinking about yesterday and how relieved he was to get that off his back. Kenma's friend Akaashi was sitting next to him and noticed he was smiling, Akaashi hadn't seen Kenma smiling for months, especially in this class that he hated so much.

"What're you so happy about Kozume?"

"Well- um- I uh-"

Akaashi knew that Kenma and Kuroo were basically dating from the moment he got to know them, him and his boyfriend Bokuto have been friends of theirs since high school. They went to different schools, but every time they saw each other at volleyball events the energy was always perfect.

"You're dating Kuroo aren't you, yknow it's so obvious you're so flustered right now, the only times I've seen you like this are when Kuroo gets too close"

"Shut up Akaashi, why do you always have to be right." Kenma really was flustered, he was all red and his thoughts were unorganized.

"You don't have to worry Kozume, I'm not Bokuto, your secret is safe with me... unless Bokuto finds out..."

After they finished classes, Kuroo was at Kenma's door once again, same time same place. This routine could really grow on him. When Kenma opened the door, they both smiled and Kuroo gave Kenma a hug. Kenma accepted Kuroo's touchiness and embraced him back.

"Kenma, I have a surprise for you, you should get your stuff and let's go get dinner!"

Kuroo let Kenma gather his things and Kuroo asked Kenma to follow him, he of course complied with some stubborn giggles. Once they got to a certain point, Kuroo said "Ok, I know what you're gonna say but can you close your eyes?"

"Kuroo- um may I ask why?"

"It's a surprise!! Please kitten?" He winked, being his cheesy self.

"Kuroo you're literally the worst, why do I have to love you so much-" Did he just say I love you for the first time after Kuroo was being a dumbass? Of course he did.

"Kenma did you just- I didn't know you liked pet names that much I guess I'll have to use them more kitten, and by the way I love you too kitten"

"God dammit Kuroo, you're so annoying please never call me that again."

"Fine kitten, even though I know you love it I'll stop calling you kitten, kitten. Thanks for letting me know kitten it means a lot— ok don't me mad I'll stop for real now just close your eyes please just trust me!"

"If you really want that Kuroo, fine, but you owe me one."

After Kuroo grabbed something from his car which was nearby, he walked Kenma pretty far away and asked him to stop. Kuroo then made some rustling noises and when it stopped, Kenma asked

"Can I finally open my eyes now?"

"Only if you ask nicely" Kuroo said teasingly.

"Fuck you, I'm just gonna open my eyes"

Kenma finally opened his eyes and saw he was in their favorite place in front of the gazebo. The second thing he noticed was his boyfriend sitting on the ground, with a picnic blanket and food sitting around in a mannerly fashion.

Kuroo was waiting for Kenma's response idly, really hoping he would like it at least a little bit.

"Do you... like it?"

"Of course I do Kuroo! I never thought anyone would do something like this for me it's just... I'm so surprised, thank you so much!"

"Well I'm glad you like it baby- wait can I call you that?? I'm sorry-"

"It's fine Kuroo, you can call me whatever you want, I love you so much you have no idea"

This behavior was very odd for Kenma, he was being so affectionate and to Kuroo, it was endearing, in a weird way, but a good weird.

As they enjoyed their night together, they really got into their conversations and stories about how they hadn't known about their crushes and as they get deeper and deeper into their stories, they seemed to get closer and closer, mentally, but physically too. After talking about the end of this secrecy and how they finally came out with their crushes and how overjoyed they were, Kuroo couldn't help himself and he just took a leap into the unknown.

He kissed his best friend, his boyfriend, and to his surprise? He kissed him back, in public, sweetly, but passionately too.

That moment made Kuroo feel all the best times with Kenma throughout his life come back, it all led up to this.

This one kiss, it had so much meaning, it was like they were still having their conversation but instead of talking, they were communicating on a mental, more sensual level.

Nothing at all could overcome this moment with Kenma in Kuroo's mind, if he could live this moment for the rest of his life, he would.

After they parted, he heard one phrase, one phrase that really topped everything that he just felt.

"Kuroo, I love you."
